steverowbotham Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 Kelli and I got out today for a couple hours, started a bit too shallow in 45 feet and kept getting perch Moved out to 58 feet and nailed my first whitie of the softwater season. Guys beside us must have landed 20 before we landed another, I had two spoons with me and thats it, they werent working too well. We moved to 64 feet, and started dropshotting GULP ALIVE minnows instead of jigging spoons, caught 8 more in about 30 mins. nothing big though, glad for Kelli to get a couple. Water was still only 48-49 degrees.
Spiel Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 ....Good stuff! I'll be out there tomorrow and hope to do as well.
smbhunter Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 Good job Steve. I hope tomorrow morning will be just as good. My plan is to get some quick whities, then head down to cooks for some pike. Can't wait to start casting again.
Rustic-Fisher Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 WOW, You might really know what your doing!! LOL... RF
Guest Johnny Bass Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 Great Report and nice whitefish. Gulp Alive never ceases to amaze me. Fish love it.
tbayboy Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 Nice job Steve, way to switch up and figure out the pattern.
misfish Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 (edited) Hey Steve nice fish. Im thinking you were not in the bay here. If you can find the 55-60 fow break straight out,you can nail them aswell and theres no one to bump into you.LOL TFS BTW Water was still only 48-49 degrees. Perfect for that quick splash on the face and wake up. Edited May 16, 2008 by misfish
