it is very complicated to try and compare (as the above thread suggests) however, in basic practicality, to give you an idea, I have a 17' tiller lund boat with 50hp. Rig is about 1300lbs all said and done. A 2hp outboard will push my boat faster (quite a bit faster actually) than my 80lbs 24v trolling motor ... whether I compare my 80lbs tiller mount tm or my bowmount 80lbs tm. hope that helps a bit...

To keep it fishing themed, I agree! Try fishing border waters, such as the Niagara River or Lake Erie....few extra steps involved these days.

I never want my team to lose. We already have a very solid core of youth that will form tomorrow's team. IF we missed the playoffs by 2 points, with the team we currently have, and BY NOT bringing up all our marlies, than we would no doubt see huge improvements from guys like Kadri, JVR, Bozak, and Rielly. That is a good thing. Of course the Leafs are not going to "miss the playoffs by 2 points" ... but whether they finish last, second to last, or whatever, I don't care....I just want to see them do the best they can.....whatever that may mean.

plastic ones are ok for riggers and maybe boards....not for dipsys. Also, if you plan on fishing later in the near (Nov/Dec), the plastic gets brittle and breaks quite easily.

Absolutely enjoyed this one. The history portion of your adventure is awesome. Imagine using a straight mercury solution to heal a wound I would love to see a photo of the poor kid who became bug food, coming out of the bush....ole Merle the bush doctor sure was confident about his abilities... Brendan's caught the muskie bug.......that'll be an expensive hobby...but a fun one. Too bad your little man didn't run across a muskie for his efforts. Perhaps a trip to St Clair is in order. fun times.

This poor fella has joined fellow Kayaker Serge Lapointe, who also met his untimely fate on a cold November day in his Kayak on Lake Ontario. I hope all our Kayaking friends take all precautions before yaking in the winter on a great lake.
