  3. You know what else you could do for the lower unit oil... you can just go and buy the pump, bps has it for $7.99 or soemthing like that and it comes with the yamaha adapter too.. very convinent and less mess!
  4. a fellow ofner here told me about one at bps.. goes for $99, made of neoprene.. i think the brand was browning... he said they kept him warm.. i was tempted to grab one but i wont be using it till next year, so i'll shop around kevin
  5. yeah.. what he said... I dont think you need to buy anything special.. for myself i use the quicksilver products...
  6. sure nice boat you there! i'm green with envy.. good stuff!! i'll see ya on the water.. kevin

  12. Hey there guys, Looks like friday is going to be decent, so I should be heading out for a afternoon of fishing with a bud.. Will be launching from the keswick side most likely, since it's close for me.. I was thinking of launching from harry's or going to bonnie's? but how are the conditions? I havent been there since the summer.. so is the water level low? how is the launch at bonnie's like? is it a good concrete launch? and what is the cost? i heard its like $20 + $20 parking???!?! We'll be in seach of some football smallies...if you guys got any tips.. especially around what area.. please pm me! i've never fished there for smallies but i know there are some to be had for sure... i promise to post a report if we get anything, with lots of pics!! thanks kevin

  15. ohhh.. i think i know where ya working lew... would you happen to know a mechanic there by the name of david lee or a admin. lady by the name of silvia delgado? thats great lew, now you can make some extra moola over the winter for some more shopping in the spring.. well.. lets not forget the deals during the off season too! kevin
  16. good post.. i need some of these advice too..
  17. nice boat and huge casting deck! im jealous
  18. i launch at two places and they are over in keswick.. one is harry's and the other is some other marina down the street.. if you know of some better ramps, let me know! perhaps over in the barrie area? maybe they got some nice smallier in the bay... and hopefully it'll be more protected from the waves over there... kevin
  19. Thanks Wayne, i'll look at that spot the next time I play with the motor.... However from the link that Zamboni posted, I think my merc may actually be a 1988, and someone there with a 88 doesn't have a thermostat.. so.. mine just might not have a thermostat
  20. i would like to head out too, but with the forecast calling for 10-35km/hr winds.. might be a bit much for me... the 10k winds might be okay.. but i cant go on those days ... or it'll be raining which will make the ramps hell.. good luck smalliefisher, kevin
  21. HAHAHHA....yeah.. the nav lights are pretty much garbage.. unless your front deck is high enough the air compressor has only so much power... the compass seemed to work fine the 12v cigarette lighter is nice to have for anything.. the power meter is nice to have too.... it has a ac adapter to charge it with, so for people that don't have the battery charger, this is would be great... but its a tad bulky... overall still a good item!
