  1. Nice fish! Perseverance pays off. Wish I could get out. Hard to believe there's still ice there with the weather we've been having....
  2. Looks like I'm gonna be doing a job up at the Big Nickel in April and May. Should I bring my rod? I won't have wheels most of the time, let alone a boat. I'm wondering if there's any shore fishing from Lake Ramsey... Alternatively, if someone wants a fishing partner for the day, I'll pay for gas and lunch. My job's at the theatre so I'll have all my days free for almost a month... Cheers. PS Did I spot that famous photo of the pike and the CN tower again in the Outdoor Canada Fishing Issue I bought today...
  3. Yup. Can't get email through my off-internet connection either. Anyone heard anything from their tech support?
  4. Joey -- I think the colours on the washroom key box change by the game... Xrap -- Try using the wet toilet paper to clean the smudge on the side of the plant pot.
  5. The frog picture clue is key. Are you in the bathroom? Earth + Water + The Glass go together. Mix 'em up and then see what you get when you rinse the glass out again. Then take note of where the Frog ends up in the picture... Once you're in the bathroom, you'll need to moisten the toilet paper... anywhere in the room that seems a little dirty? Get cleaning!
  6. Ahahahaha! I did it! Damn you for that that time-sucking post.
  7. Looks like Pike are closed March 31st to Second Saturday in May. That sound about right? I'd better dust off the daredevil and get up there soon...
  8. I'm heading up there tomorrow afternoon... hoping for a deal on a new baitcaster!
  9. Anyone been up there yet? Know if it's open...?
  10. So let me get this straight. He's dating the salmon?
  11. My guess is that they were errant bits of roe...
  12. The Odd Couple -- what a classic. No Electric Fillet Knives in them days!
  13. Wow. Thanks so much for those recs Solopaddler. I'm looking forward to checking out these places and I'll keep you posted. By the way, I don't often chime in on reports but you've put up some of the best. Thanks again.
  14. I live in Oakville... Ideally, I'd like to keep it to a drive that can be done in one day (12-14 hours max?) Fishwise -- I'm thinking Walleye/Pike!
  15. My dad lives in the States now and we don't get to fish together too much any more. He's turning 65 this year and I thought I'd take him for some fly-in fishing.-- if I can scrape the cash together I'm thinking of around 3 days and hoping not to break the bank. Has anyone had any good experiences? My Dad's pretty fit but probably not up to a lot of portaging or anything. Would really appreciate a couple of suggestions
  16. I've had good experiences with Floyd Hales huts out of Beaverton. $45 for Perch, $50 for Lakers and Trout. Went Perching on Saturday and only managed about 30. A friend of mine caught his limit the other day. Happy Fishing Jacques
  17. I'd be interested in hearing on this too. I've got some perch to clean tomorrow. Regardless of size, my Dad always used to gut, cut head and tail and then deal with the bones afterwards. I really don't want to gut 20 perch...
  18. Any been out on the ice around Beaverton in the last week? I don't know if my Bombardier will have air bags Going out Saturday. Will post when I get back!
  19. Pam-- I looked at your website to see some of your other work. This is definitely your best painting. Great colour, light and composition. Lovely work!
  20. I second TD Meloche Monnex. Very competetive rates...
  21. I agree -- Mark Krupa has a great show -- even though I'm not a fly fisherman. I *hate* the driving rock music on the 'extreme' fishing shows. They turn me off wanting to watch WFN. The whole point of fishing, for me, is to escape the noise and respect the environment. I don't get a sense of a whole lotta respect for the fish on those shows...
  22. Can I have my 59 posts moved over? That may not sound like a lot but they're important to me
