  2. SWEET
  3. nice laker!!!
  4. Oh, I forgot about that... It is low now as well. Would I have better chances going to puslinch lake or guelph lake? I wouldent mind hooking into some crappies and perch as well
  5. Hey all I will be hittin up belwood conservation area with my dad this weekend (tomorrow or monday), and I was wondering If I would be better off shore fishing the actual lake (probably beside the dam), or the river downstream of the dam? I don't have a boat, but i would really like to hook into some bass/pike/walleye. Would i be best off using jigheads with minnows/worms to catch the fish, or would lures (spinnerbaits, crankbaits) work? Any feedback would help me out a lot! Thanks in advance - Matt
  6. smaller mouth and you can kind of see the vertical bars. Maybe a smallmouth that was living in dense weed cover? great fish btw
  7. mepps spinners and 2-3" rapala plugs work great in shallow water, tubes with jigheads in them work AMAZING in deeper water!! You could try drop shotting them too in deeper water
  8. nice!!! I love stream trout but never really get the chance to fish em
  9. no, in fact the water level has DROPPED. I was there last weekend and could walk out onto "islands" that had been created by the dropped water level... oh and did I mention I caught no pike?
  10. perch: anything upwards of 6" should be fine, as with any panfish they reproduce super fast so you don't have to worry about harming the population walleye: 12-20" lake trout: I would assume they would be around the same keping size as rainbows rainbow trout: I just fish stocked rainbows and keep anything 12"+ brook trout: any size (even 8") out of stocked/put and take lakes. they dont get very big anyways splake: probably same as brook trout but I don't really know cause ive never caught pike: 18"-30" eat them, they taste great, I just pick the bones out at the table
  11. this is great as im considering attempting to fly fish for these guys as well!
  12. I have been hearing about trout fishing and I think I would like to try some of that this winter. 1. What type of rod, reel, and line should I be using? 2. Do trout start decomposing when they spawn like salmon or can they spawn multiple times? 3. Would it be safe to eat the trout out of Lake Ontario? 4. What lures should I be using? Thanks, Matt.
  13. i called 50 pont right now, the girl said theyre open until the end of november so I might try there or fish 4 trout depending on how much time I have
  14. They probably would be shallow and fishing around any cover would be good. I've caught pike around sunken islands, rock pilings, etc.
  15. Where can I go? Are the private ones still open?
  16. Hey all I have been wondering where is a good place to try for some jumbo perch to eat? I fish at lasalle marina whenever I get the time but I dont think I could eat them given theyre out of hamilton harbour. One night I landed (and threw back) about 30 10-14 inchers from lasalle! Would any other spots out of lake O have edible perch? or should I go to somewhere like port dover or port maitland or some conservation areas to get them? Thanks in advance, your help is greatly appreciated Matt
