don't know for sure but if you are buying a trailer with the boat there should be something about that a the DOT.I am sure someone like evinrude-dude who is in the business would know for sure.BUT be careful a friend of mine bought a boat cheap a few years back that was communal property in a divorce settlement and he was the one that suffered.. vance

Most systems use 3 cables-1 from the cab and then 2 from that cable to the wheels.None of these are cheap or that easy to fix-before you cut one make sure it is the RIGHT one.If the cab cable is seized just undo the link to the other two. vance

We used to use airplane grade aerlon wire and unravel it and use the single strands much like johnF does with picture wire but this stuff is very flexable and easy to work with as long as you are using pliers. Oh yeah did I mention it is very STRONG. vance

A friend of mine bought an ETEC last year he LOVES it.The economy is so good that he took the boat back to the dealer because he thought for sure the gas gauge wasn't working but it was.All us regulars at the lake are planing on switching over on the next boat. vance

I/Os are heavy boats ,if you are going to tow it any distance you will need a REAL tow vehicle.They are NOT a small water boat and are usually harder to put on a trailer than a outboard.Then you run into the extra regulations for I/Os for safety reasons.From what I have heard winterizing can be a real pain! vance

Even if the wash station was implemented and most LAW ABIDING boaters used it there would still be the 10-20% that would use the back roads to go around it to save themselves from having to get it done thus negating any benefit .I travel to the Pickeral river many times thru the year and I have yet to find anywhere something that will kill all the things that I could be bringing with me. If I am using my boat down south all the drains and intakes are plugged when in the water and I NEVER take it out the week before I head north.I don't see how you can completely wash your boat when it's on the trailer even though I try. vance

Its funny that 2 of 3 computers in the house with macafey would not work but the third one will with no problems.Tried to set up the other two the same as #3 but no luck so now I run free AGV on the two.Macafey has a patch download to fix the problem but it didn't work. vance

The owner of the park where I have my trailer is fighting cancer and I am doing my best to help him and his wife out,so far I have organized most of the seasonal campers into helping but most are in their 70s and it keeps me busy. vance
