  1. Sure did thanks Ian.
  2. You tie some awesome fly's,so realistic!!.
  3. Thanks Brian, that's a fair bit of line out the end of the rod to start!.
  4. One more question ,do you have to make sure your tippet and leader are outside the rod guides before pulling off line and casting?,that would be 12'-13' outside the end of the rod. Watching a couple beginners videos and it looks like that when he's pulling off line all you see is the floating line throughout the rod.I hope this makes sense?.
  5. My 305ci mercruiser engine is the best from 86!:lol:Lol.
  6. Nothing wrong with Natualus.Mine are in there 4th year.Lots of power still.
  7. That's what I'm afraid of.
  8. Thanks guys, just picked up a "nice" martin caddis creek reel:thumbsup_anim:.For $20 what a difference from the one I have. You can palm this one and turn off the drag clicker for silence and free spools than. Now to strip the line off the old one,and crank it on the new one.
  9. If you can send one, send it to one of the mods, they'll straighten it out for you if it's there problem.Good luck.
  10. I agree with the aluminum prop for sure. How about backing up the boat in the back yard and having your son tell you when you get a foot from the tree. And doesn't tell you. :wallbash:Prop bent bad, but no internal damage.City wide at the rescue again. Rocky lake, only way to go.Relatively cheap to repair.
  11. Check for a update on CTV Barrie at 6:00
  12. But I wanted one like April Vokey's I saw this morning. They are some nice looking reels. :clapping:Brian your right,Ill check into that ct reel. Thanks.
  13. I understand what your saying, but were splitting hairs about the line.If I can get a season or two on a' on sale' line I'm too happy. It doesn't really matter does it?Who cares?.Your point is well taken,"again".
  14. I don't like it either,but a deposit speaks very loud!!
  15. I hear you,still like your idea.
  16. Pulling out the spool, noticed that both pawls are linked together with a common wire. Don't think I can remove one without the other and then it would free spool. That's not fun at all. New reel may be in order.
  17. H!mmmmm, you haven't fished where I have. You never know what you might get.Like your idea.
  18. That area is full of fish. Use the advise given and you'll do alright!!!
  19. My bait casters,I get to the point where I'm not sure it is going to fit but it just does. What reel do you have?.I have or using 30lb on all reels except the round bait caster that I put 50lb on.
  20. I never even thought about changing the line. I buy a spool for $14 bucks and use it two seasons, what a steal. Now I can reverse the line back on another for another two years.Joeytier that's what I call thrifty!!!!!!!.Smart as well, thanks for the tips.
  21. Do they call that cheap or thrifty?:whistling:I buy it on sale and put the 150yards on each reel.Usually get about two seasons on each reel. Not bad.
  22. This must be a old reel as there is no way to palm the reel, other than the knuckle busters. Nothing like a float reel. I may need to buy a reel built in the last 40years.LOL.
  23. If it loosens rusty bolts and lubricates sticking and squeeking hinges. Probably not a good idea if you want a shore lunch.
