Edit: I tried to find the info on a post by CCMT, but had no luck. I think it is: Lymphosarcoma of Pike This is an epizootic condition in northern pike and muskellunge in certain regions (i.e. Lake Ontario). The lesion develops as a purple ulcerative cutaneous mass on the head, mouth and flank with invasion into the adjacent muscle and metastasis to spleen, liver and kidney. A type-C Retrovirus is believed to be the cause of this disease.

Greetings, I recently came into aquiring 2 kayaks. One inflatable and one river kayak (from OFNer LOVE2DRIFT) I'm just learning the whole kayak thing and managed to both lose a monster pike and our dinner (After I caught the dinner pike it broke the stringer!) In addition, I will seek guidance from JEDIANGLER for kayak photographic wisdom. Had a quick 1 1/2 day trip to the Moon River Basin with some buds. They all got skunked and yours truly caught 6 Pike and a bunch of very nice OOS bass. (I meant to catch some walleyes but Mr.Beer forbid me from entering a watercraft at night!) Met the owner of Moon Basin Marina, Kevin Kevin gave me some great advice and warned me that where we are camping is a fish sactuary for another week, DOH!! If you want to find out more go here: Moon Basin Marina Here are 2 dudes out of 5. That's Love2drifts kayak Working on ruining any chances of night fishing by boat: Monster that got away. 17-20lbs. easy I have to admit, I've lost sleep over this It gave me a brief tour of the bay before spitting my hook. Off the dock Come to Papa Did a pit stop in Simcoe to try the inflatable. Crazy pike make you nervous in one of these After nailing a bunch, I switched to the beloved sluggo Snake One for the road I was not keen to stick my finger in this pikes face. YUCK! *Communication terminated* Please stand by

Lew, I have a brother who is a great friend and fishing buddy too. I can't imagine him gone. This too shall pass.

HAHAHAHAHA, You don't know me, yet, It's like you know everything about me! I already warned my buds about my annoying habit of falling into fires. I think fires are like women They're so warm and pretty. But you will probably get burned.

Awesome, Thanks again! I hope I have enough luck for a worthy report

I think I'm aroused?

Thanks Castaway, How deep should I go? Did your jigs have rattles too? Oh, and did you buy the minnows at the marina there? Did you catch the one in your avatar there?

We're heading out very early tomorrow morning. We'll be hitting Arnolds Bay and heading east towards the falls. Any info on the area would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Fishing with Snog - A Toronto Island Report
snag replied to ccmtcanada's topic in General Discussion
What a great report! First, My worst fears were realized. You two are as friendly and as passionate about fishing as expected. I would be honoured to outfish you again. Second, Congrats Bly!!!! I was honoured again to be a part of your first pike catch. I also love the fact that it was on your fav lure breaking the Fenwick curse! Third, As a proper host, I promised myself not to outfish you two. So I secretly released a couple 40"+ monsters while you checked phone messages. Fourth, I caught 2 fish. They were small, But I caught 2 fish, One for each of you. Fifth, I am no "pike master" only a humble slave. Can't wait to see you two again! (when I crush your walleye records!) Thanks for the fish and pizza S. xoxoxox -
Howdy! I need to get the basics of fishing with kids (I have a 1 yr. old)

Bump (ish) I had to go to Fort Erie on biz, so thanks to Rick; I made a detour. I went to Gills for the first and maybe the last time. I entered the store and felt a heaviness. Behind the counter was the nicest guy who anyone would call a friend. During the 45 min. I spent there, I witnessed customers come and make purchases they did not need to make. Myself included. (Talk about respect: a parking authority officer even came into the shop and asked if any customers had a van outside that had an expired meter, just so one of Reg's customers wouldn't get ticketed!! I got a laugh when I said that you won't get that in T.O.!!) You would never know this store was closing for good with such a viberant soul. I told him who I was and that Rick had posted this thread. I also promised a bump There are great deals there from an exceptional person. I would go for the history.

You got mine too! Awesome!

Actually, I did kinda say that to her. I'm not sure if they were putting pressure on them to make changes. This brought up the whole marina/water/leasing discussion a while back. Like I said, I wasn't completely paying attention, fishing was on the brain I also added what a bunch of slobs boaters can be sometimes be. I remarked on the garbage they "accidentally" lose annually.
