  1. make sure to keep her box! That adds to the value. And what ever you do, dont get the box wet!!!
  2. oh man i wasn't being serious lol. Colts are horrible. I myself don't enjoy cigars. I do enjoy sampling the whiskeys etc that make their way onto back lake trips though:)

  7. Howrah! You would need a full wizard staff to measure a sturgeon haha
  8. Brutal. I feel for ya. Looks like a amazing pup too! My condolences to you and your family. It really sucks man
  9. Here we go again... I hope nipissing recovers or better regs can be put in place to in the very least, give it a chance. I find it odd that anglers care about the lake but continue to harvest its walleye??? Just seems very contradictory to me
  10. Awesome pics! Msp that first pic is amazing! If that were me id have that printed and framed:) same with some of your shots Joey!
  11. I know not many members here are fishing or located near my area of zone 5(rainy river), but I'm curious to hear if anyone has opinions on the changes to the regs this year??? What I'm talking about specifically is the addition of lake whitefish and yellow perch, as well as largemouth bass. In all my years fishing this system, have i ever seen these fish in the system??? So why would they add limits? Also, we now have a closed bass season, which is okay by me, but i still find it odd because hardly anyone targets bass here from my experience. And the smallie population is INSANE! I wonder if the MNR has done studies and are actually seeing these fish in the system? I know for the first time ever we had an explosion of crappie last summer, which was pretty cool to see. Too small to keep so far but the kiddos like catching them. Anyhow, any thoughts or similar experience in different zones? Or different areas of zone 5?
  12. I have no idea? Last year was funny on RR because of late ice out and super high water. Everything from walleye, pike, bass and sturgeon was way off. But it made for an awesome fall. This year the ice is thicker then I've ever seen, and expect the same only worse. Normally it would bother me because it makes the river unfishable, but this year i have plans to film the sturgeon spawn with the gopro. Problem is it might be little to no visibility. Aww well, all we can do is wait and find out!
  13. never seen a whitey in rr although this year i see they got added to the regs, same with perch and largemouth. Weird. Anyhow that was caught on rainy lake
  14. Only thing thats changes for me this winter is i now own every buckshot jig known to man haha. Coupled with frozen shiners has been on my line 90% of the time all winter. Amazing baits

  17. Never followed through today. She had a real goodnight indoors. One more appointment for her tomorrow just to get a second opinion. Kids are devastated at the though, so we might keep her around a few more weeks if the vet says that wouldbe okay
