  1. Of course. Sad but true. but seriously, imagine every poacher getting a $25,000 dollar fine for each offense. Also, im obviously no lawyer, but when the court hands a hefty fine, if its not payed within the time given, isnt the fine payed in jailtime in accordance to the amount of the fine?
  2. Not to mention the revenue it could generate back to the resource
  3. Holy crap I didnt realize just how stiff the penalties can actually be!!! This guy got off easy compared to what he coulda got. Why arent people jailed and or fined more heavily, more often? Imagine how quick poaching would slow down with a 25 grand fine AND jailtime
  4. Geez that is a good hold! I actually thought I was short changing ya. Beautiful fat fish regardless!!!
  5. Yip. What was the measurement on that beauty slimeball? 41-42"?
  6. More proof pike will bite anything you can throw at them lol. My biggest pike came in 2fow on a jig and berkley ripple shad 4" firetiger color. Was the best bite ive ever experienced!
  7. Geez, float suit and all, but dry clothes on land? How far you plan on going? Even with a float suit your a gonner if you take a dip and have to travel any distance to change. Even in my training, -20, its very very hard to get yourself to shore, nevermind change. All i had to travel was maybe 70 yards and its insanely hard and very scary. That was in controlled enviroment
  8. Its been happening along time. I have no idea how this is allowed to continue? These scummers target the elderly as well, which is all types of disturbing
  9. Art, that last boat looks like something the minnesota vikings fish on
  10. They retail at 10. Cool story though. I bumped into al linder years back when he was prefishing the fort frances bass championships. We were both fueling up and my son was hyped to meet al. I think he was around 6 at the time. Clackin raps were brand new. In fact im not even sure they were in stores yet. My son talks to al about his strategy which was hilarious in its own right. Al gives me a pat on the back and grabs a box outta his boat and hands it to my son. There was aboit 100 clackin raps in there. My son was sooooo happy(as was i) Al is a class act
  11. Gawd my boy almost cried at santorelli leaving. I know we need to blow it up but i wish he coulda stayed. On boston/detroit/chicago or montreal hed be a beast
  12. I noticed their prices creeping up. Used to be 9 or 10 bucks for any rapala. Now i find many at 15 and i forget the name, another jerk bait at 20 bucks
  13. I still use beetle spins. They definitely produce but I only really use them during the mayfly hatch
  14. Great, another lure to try lol. Ghost shiner and clown will be mine to try Anyone try the scatter rap concept yet?
  15. 200 horsepower on the back end almost sunk this lol
  16. Many thanks guys, always appreciate the words and thoughts. Kids took it as expected, bummed. For me thats the hardest part.
  17. I didnt even know what a rapala was as a child. All I ever fished was a spinner with a minnow and trolled. Caught tons of fish too! When my grandpa passed, my dad found his tackle box and thought id like to have it. Of course I want it!!!! Open it up, had some bug dope in it thats was highly suspect, some weights and about a 100 hooks lol. Ah well its still cool to have?
  18. I know what your saying man, thanks
  19. Thanks alot for the condolences, it helps. as outdoorsman, IMO loosing a pet can be just brutal. all those outings, memories etc, ughhh. I cant explain it. our partners in life, amazing trips, great family times. Our dogs play such a big role in all of that. today I lost a friend, my outdoors partner, my protection... she was the best. Great with the kids, everyone really. She loved fishing, always by our sides. She even had a place at the table, she lived a great life. the kids lost a great friend, she was like that blanket of comfort. As my kids ventured I always felt they were safe cause Tala protected them. this dog took wolf and coyotes like a secret service agent for my kids and me. 12 great years...
  20. Husky number two just passed away? Just went to grab her for a feed and she was gone, laying in her house. Telling the kids is never easy. Tobacco was laid and tommorrow we'll take her to be layed to rest with her sister. Such a bummer Rip Tala
