Our Health Care System can be frustrating! NF
manitoubass2 replied to Big Cliff's topic in General Discussion
Sometimes I wonder if there isnt some sick people working in the medical profession? I mean they come in all other walks of life, something to think about. As a young adult, around 20, I had very bad back pains on my right side. I toughed it out for a day or two but it got sooo much worse, also started on my left side. I drove to emerge and was admitted pretty quickly. I was in ALOT of pain. No position was comfortable at all. I was literally in tears. A quick blood sample and urine sample after a shot of demerol showed I had a kidney infection and it was spreading to the left as well. First shot did nadda, gave me a second and a third, finally some relief. 6 hours later and some iv antibiotics they were ready to release me. Of course id need more anti biotics later. Then they gave me one more shot of demerol, 2 trylenol 3's and enough of those to last a few days. I was looped. They asked if I had a ride home and i said yes, i have my vehicle outside. Out i went, only two blocks from the hospital but stoned outta my tree. I wasnt fit to make that decision. I didnt even really recall the ride home until my girlfriend told me about it, like after 28 hours of sleep. To be honest, I wouldnt even believe my story until it was later verified by my girlfriend and dr on a foĺlow up. Crazy. Im glad im alive and i didnt harm anyone else. Those drugs are crazy. I felt like i was in total control but there is no way i was. -
Hahhahahaah

Ugggh Sorry cliff, but my words cant make it work better. Sad how one area is so streamlined/professional, and others are just a mess. I feel your frustration and wish youse all the best -
I wish. Here its called "friends", and I use that term loosely. Nothing like a txt at 7am, "hey man I dont mean to bother you, but I have an appointment at 830. Can you give me a ride? I'll shoot ya twenty bucks next month"? Lol what seriously you have an appointment and never arranged a ride way before hand? Of course ya never see any money either. Same few try it with us all the time. "Sorry, the bank it closed. Next time have your brain checked out while your at it". I dont wanna sound harsh but yeah, my schedule is busy posting on OFC lol

Please tell me your not the"can I bum a ride but I have no gas money"guy????

That would be the hardest way to save shooniyah lol.

Honey holes arent given out here but yep, ask where what lake etc and youll get an honest answer. When it comes to bass you dont even have to ask. They are everywhere. Populations in sunset country are just crazy. Wanna get a kid hooked on fishing? Take him bassin on LOTWs or Rainy Lake

This is true. But most companies/employees will continue to work above and beyond the legislation, especially for remote camp work. The hours I worked were nothing short of rediculous

Only one lure. What would it be?
manitoubass2 replied to Acountdeleted's topic in General Discussion
No I havent tried them garry2s. Id like to try them though. You have success with many species or ya just bass fishing south? I use these worms similar to a senko but I cant find that color here locally, i cant even remember who makes them? I think its Matzuo but it may be Lunkerhunter. I love em have like 20 packs lol -

Garry2s Look on the first page at my post. The reasons I chose that bait is because I can fish it numerous ways for a multitude of species. On ice or soft water. Only difference between you and I is I chose a shakey head jig? -

If this doesnt get you stoked I dont know what will? This lil guy endured horrible weather and slush, and landed two walleyes on his own? I believe he was 3 maybe 4. He had a blast. I think derbies for family day are awesome, as long as they are planned good:) -

Thanks jeremy! It was awesome! The support was nothing short of outstanding! Unfortunately I had to cancel this year because we lost a great community member and his family wanted to hold a derby in his name. And after much thought I believe the respectful thing to do was cancel mine, and direct traffic to his(they shared many friends) But I still had some unreal donations this year and it will all go to youth anglers! Miigwich to those that donated, you know who you are! I just love doing these derbies man, everyone has fun, their so appreciative and it just warms my heart. But I will be back next year with the best derby I can possibly organize -
Hahah thats wicked Lew???

We had many raffles as well, a live band after the derby, and a pot luck. I love small community derbies! Oh we also had a youth talent show!!! -

A 12 year old girl won my derby last year! As well as the youth angler award (fully stocked tackle box, 2 ice fishing rods and a shimano clarus rod, and a leather embroidered jacket) -

Ive hosted derbies on family day. Smaller derbies though. The anglers have been nothing but awesome! Even had some 2 year olds out last year and you as the derby director, just make your rounds and help teach them. Id rather families be out fishing and enjoying nature. Sure you might lose a few fish but thats a small drop in the bucket compared to giving a kiddo the fishing bug and spending a day away from screens and video games. Derbies are kinda the easiest way to ensemble the people with no experience. To me its a win win. But my derbies are small, 100 people usually. A much bigger one may pose more problems? But if Ive had one family have a blast, ill sleep good at night. Its about nature, family and teaching the kids. To me thats nothing but positive? -
