Everyone should try this once(at least) Nice cold pike filleted and cut into chunks. Pat dry. cube potatoes, slice onions, celery and carrots. Add to chicken broth and season how you see fit. I like to add alot of garlic. cook for about an hour on a low rolling boil. Add pike fillets at the last 4-5 minutes. and serve! Serve with a blue on your finest china???

Here is walleye done a lil differently. Its just seasoned and baked. Its was a few years back and i cant remember the seasoning, but i can remember it was darn good!

I dont have a favorite per say. I love to cook so im always trying new things. That dish of your looks amazing!!!! I have everything here but the saltcod, i just might have to make this tomorrow with a different fish I guess i do have a favorite kinda. Nothing beats shorelunch after a l9ng day on the water. Food just tasted so good out in the bush lol This is homefries with onion, battered crappie, maple baked beans and an egg

If ya wanna try something different and refreshing, try just using flour to coat your fillets, then coat generously with seasoning salt. Fry in coconut oil.

Man that would be scary! Ive been near three tornados in my life and they are so crazy! Only one on the water though. I was fishing a small inland lake with my mom and dad. A storm popped up quick and we hit shore quickly. That was insane. Within minutes it was completely black. My mom and i held each other down while looking for shelter. It was kinda like what id assume walking on the moon is like lol. Trees crashed all around us for a good 3 minutes or so and in the dark it was very scary. And as quick as it came it was over. As the sun came back out it was a miracle nobody was hit by a tree. Trees over everywhere. But about 100 yards away every tree seemed to be broken at the same angle. I think that was the tornados path. Scary stuff indeed

Lol Im sure uglysticks have changed over the years, but I still have two from when I was a kid. Only thing id ever use them for is panfish and small walleye. They are small rods though, i think a 5'6" and a 6'. Its actually hilarious how durable those rods are No sensitivity at all though

I consider myself a bass angler but in all honesty I spend more time chasing other fish. Especially now that the zone 5 regs changed last year. Bass here used to be open all year(which was awesome) Now its walleye/pike/crappie/lake trout and whities through the ice, which is a blast. Eager for spring to come though for big walleye and big ice out pike! I shorefish alot too but i dont know that area at all. Pike can be a ton of fun from shore!!!!
