  1. 206 yes there are walmarts everywhere but unfortunately they do not all carry the same stock and the 2 near me do not have any. Thanks for the help mercman, I have sent an email to Tromblys Tackle box which is about 50 min from me to see if they have any as they are a minkota dealer. Ian
  2. Yes sir exactly like that one. And that is why I posted it here I knew someone would know where to look. I feel like an idiot as my motor is minkota and I never thought to check their site. Luckily for me its not the first time and probably won't be the last. LOL Thanks
  3. Hey Guys and Gals I am trying to locate a battery box. I have been borrowing my neighbours time to get my own, trouble is i can not locate one. The one I am looking for has terminals on the outside with wingnuts so I do not have to open the battery box to hook up my trolling motor. I have tried a couple marinas locally with no luck so any help is appreciated. I am located in Baysville would drive to barrie or north bay if I had to or purchase online. Thanks Ian
  4. My son just returned from a week a grammy's house in Sundridge so it was to town for dad to get a haircut then to the dam for some fishing. They just slowed down the dam here in Baysville so I was not expecting much, as usually they take a couple days after water level change to get active. I had a bag of senkos that were almost tore through from fishing them texas style from my last trip for largies. Decided to throw one on it was in such bad shape I rigged it wacky style but had to hook both sides to stop it from tearing in half. The smallmouth were all over it, nothing huge but fun anyways. MY son says I want what you are using i rig him one up few cast later he has a fish, it gets off so he is winding in says he is snagged as i reach for his rod he yells its pulling. He gets the fish in 2lb 5 oz largemouth. I have only caught about 5 largies at the dam in my life and none anywhere near that size. So we learned tonight if the fish are hungry they will eat regardless of presentation. Thanks for the read Ian
  5. They do or did as I still fish with a Zebco measurin stick I bought in highschool. It measures up to I believe 15 inches on the pole and has a tape measure wrapped in the butt. Ian
  6. Dorset is your best bet for food. I live in Baysville anything here is away from the water not a far walk but not on water. good luck on Sunday. Ian
  7. Today was the first time I have had the boat in the water this year, I have done some shore fishing but not much of that either. My Brother and I head to a small lake where the topwater frog action is usually all day long. AS we are loading the boat at 6 am fish are rising, rolling and jumping clear out of the water all around us. Perfect for topwater.....We threw every topwater bait we had poppers, spooks, jitterbugs, frogs nothing. Fish were jumping fromn 1 foot of water to as deep as 20 or more. They were eating bugs or spiders half the size of a dime. Some of the fish that were jumping were easy 4 lbs maybe more. It must take a boat load of those bugs to fill him up. We did catch a few bass not nearly as productive as usual. The largest being 3 1/2 lbs, most days on this lake see each of us landing at least one 4 lb largemouth. Landed about 12 largemouth and 2 smallmouth today in 7 hours. My brother was determined to use the frog today so no pictures of him as not a single fish landed on the frog. Several strikes and one all the way to the boat ( I gave him credit for that one), he caught a few on senkos but nothing he wanted a picture of. Next time IU bring the fly rod. Here are a few pictures thanks for the read.
  8. Is it Trappers you are looking for? If so no info on them in the phone book I know they are on28 Dairy lane unit 2 in HUntsville as my son takes KArate across the road. I will dig around and see what I can find for you. Ian Found email address [email protected]
  9. I live in Baysville and appears all 3 people were in the boat person killed was not onshore, at least not before they hit the island may have been found on shore from impact. Word is at least one of them worked at a local marina. Another accident that could have easily been avoided. Ian
  10. Holy Crap nice fish great colour as well to go with the size. Ian
  11. never tried Musky fishing but with all the great photos like that beauty I may have to take it up. Great fish Ian
  12. I live in Baysville on the street behind the lake of Bays brewery. I am not a beer drinker but that is the first good thing I have seen said about the taste of their beer. Ian
  13. I have this same issue at my parents. The legal advice I received was that the homeowner did not have to maintain the branches overhanging onto my parents property, however he could also not object to me removing them. As long as I did not remove beyond the lot line and I was to ask if he wanted the branches after they were removed. This part I didn't understand. Not sure if it is the same all over but thats what I did. Ian
  14. very nice colour. Unless the picture is deceiveing I would not want to ride in the backseat for any distance, looks cramped. Ian
  15. dandy buck , I am hoping to shoot one half as nice on Saturday.
  16. Hey Steve some nice pics. I didn't make it down to weigh in, what was the weight for Lake of Bays. My house is 150 yards from the dock behind you in your last picture. Ian
  17. Thanks for the info guys. And for the record Baysville is about 24 KM east of Bracebridge and is located on Lake of Bays. Ian
  18. Thanks for the info guys and yes I am lefthanded when shooting a bow. I think maybe a trip to the Wolf's Den in Barrie is in order only an hour away and I have heard good things about their service. Anyhting would be better than my 1 and only trip to BassPro this summer..... Long story but never again is all I will say. Ian
  19. Not fishing related but I see many of the members are also hunters. I have been debating buying a compound for 5 years, since I shot one in a 3D range on manitoulin Island. My wife has finally convinced me to buy one ( I hate spending money on myself, makes me feel guilty even though I can afford the bow). So I amlooking for some input to go along with my research. I am looking at something from PSE either Brute or Bow madness, also like the redhead toxic, and the hoyt maxxiss 31. Looking for a 50# to 60# draw weight. Looking to spend $400- $800 out the door Thanks for the info Ian
  20. I agree the visit to the father or the cops but not both.......( I live in a small town where I know all my neighbours for a couple kilometers so my opinion is skewed) Having said that I fully understand the logic behind doing what the wife says, as it could have beena looooonnnnnggggg week otherwise. Ian

  22. Only your experience with a reel will tell if price = better. I have had some 30 dollar reels last over 5 years and some $75 reels barely last a summer. I have had great luck with Abu Cardinals . I pick them up at canadian Tire for $35 when they come on sale ...REgular around $75 Ian
