  1. Is that what he is I call him a gun toting redneck, but he likes it when i call him that.
  2. Well i guess if this site was full of "PROS" , then half the fish caught here would never make it to post.We are AMATEUR sport anglers who enjoy the catch, not the competition. To me, a 13 inch perch is HUGE ! and a 42 inch Musky is a MONSTER!!! Maybe you dont think so, but I DO. I think someone is just a bit cranky
  3. Oh NAY NAY !!!! I keep the whole first floor, livingroom kitchen and master bedroom a comfortable 70-73 degrees all winter long with my freestanding gas fireplace. Set the thermostat, and bingo.I have auto 6 position flame, and six position fan.If the temp drops below 2 drgrees of what i set, the flame and fan kick in at 6, then slowly and automatically reduce as the temp reaches the desired setting. Its whatca called new technology Bob!! Kinda like when you got internet for the first time last month
  4. Sure its the boots doing that Brian
  5. Nitrogen is used most often when you have tire pressure sending units installed on the tires. There is less pressure variance than air, and less condensation formation, that can affect the senders. But yes, and under inflated tire creates more friction against the ashphalt, causeing them to heat more, therefore expand more.Double? not sure. I guess it depends on what they were before driving on them
  6. Welcome abroad Blain !!!
  7. Has to do with air pollution, but i believe its because the houses are close to eachother in the city and burbs, and the smoke bothers some people. I heated completely with my gas fireplace last year for just under 700 bucks. I do agree though,i like the smell and sound of real wood burning.
  8. Bob...Thanksgiving here in Canada, is next weekend
  9. Did the same thing this spring with Mom. Dad was a great angler and i found a ton of his, and my grand dads rods and tackle. One old 50's vintage levelwind, i am cleaning up this winter and will re introduce it to fishing in the spring. Who fished in your familly, to leave those combos for you to find?
  10. Excellent ideas in this and Waynes thread. Last year i left my smaller boat tarp covered in the yard. This year i bought an 11 X 16 car shelter, and am keeping my new boat in there.Problem is, my boat is 16ft, that means something will be sticking out .I will probably cover the motor with a tarp to keep the snow off.
  11. WTG Dana!! An excellent report. Looks like nice wather too.I got out in my boat alone, for the first time.Tough job in high winds like we had here on friday. Its been raining ever since Good Job !!!
  12. Drop a PM to SRT8, he sent me a piece of black blastic about 1/2`` thick from his work.It is great stuff. Easy to cut and sands without melting.
  13. I love a warm fireplace, but bylaws in my area forbid woodburning fireplaces to be installed in new homes, or retrofitted in older homes.Next best is this Vermont Castings, clean burning gas fireplace i installed last fall.I like it for its realistic embers, and logs. Love the remote control, and fully automatic thermostat control.Set the room temp, grab a glass of sparkling grape juice and relax by the fire Nothing beats the smell of a fireplace, but this is the next best thing for me.
  14. Actually, "Chunk" was a nickname for a while. After that kid in the movie "The Goonies" Cant help it, i love "GOOD" food Bobby.
  15. Me too !!! Made a wrong turn on a 1 way street. The Cop asked me if i had seen the arrows, i said "Heck No Officer, i didn't even see the Indians" As he filled out the citation, I said "Can you write that a bit faster please sir? I"m going to a party, and i must be late cause everyone seems to be going home"
  16. I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?
  17. I love Pumpkins Dad used to carve them into scarey faces, and Ma would roast the seeds. Some of the pumpkins were turned into fresh pies, and Pumpkin bread. Ma was a great baker,Prolly explains why i was kinda chubby growing up
  18. Thanks Cliff, and everyone else, it was my pleasure to help you out. I have seen this happen all the time in here, and it never ceases to amaze me.Its everyone in here doing good deeds and being benevolent that inspired me to do likewise. All i'm doing is trying to follow in the footsteps of those who went before me. You all have taught me the importance of friendship, and i hope i am able to live up to the fine example all of you have shown me. BTW Cliff...if your new product passes all the tests, i am always looking for a way to remove odors from appliances that have been stored incorrectly for long periods of time.So keep me posted on the results. Tite lines and good living everyone Paul
  19. Well i thougt your fish were just the right size, thilly gooth
  20. By HUB, do you mean the rubber insert that is in the center of the prop, or the spline part? My new prop has a 2 pieces plastic torsion hub. are they better than the rubber sleeve type?
