what is this book you have and where can I get one?

Thanks Rob, it would be hard to identify the lamprey from my photo. It would be a good sign for the lake if it's a Silver Lamprey. I also wonder if maybe it's a Sea Lamprey; are there any other accounts of them in Nipissing?

Are any Nipising-native species of lamprey Parisitic? Joey was saying that the Northern Lamprey, a native species, isn't parasitic. Until tonight, I've never even seen a lamprey mark on a Nipissing fish.

Joey Tiger wanted to see some of the walleye I've been catching on Nipissing so I showed him. We (I) caught 7 walleye and he missed a big girl, right at the hole. The perch were plenty. It was very mild tonight, but the wind and snow were strong. The GPS guided us in and out. Joey also caught a ling with an interesting parasite. This is the first time I see one of these on Nipissing. Has anybody else seen them here? As it turns out, fishing "blind" isn't always a disadvantage. Good straightforward and probably attainable goals! Mine are more vague. I want to have more backlake adventures within an hour of home. Local knowledge is a top priority for me right now.

I dont' understand how the rangers can be so stacked with players and still have room for Nash, while the leafs have a couple high priced players, but mostly mid-range nobodys and they don't/can't get an elite player on their lineup. Are they afraid to spend money???

Sunday morning was BEAUTIFUL! I was late on the lake at 830 and with the low winds and high sun, it was a glorious day and the fish were crazy active. Either way, sounds like you boys had a great, relaxing weekend! I tried to join up with you guys for the evening fish on Saturday, but i had other GF related commitments.

Are they under 30lbs? Some of the other smaller shelters weight over 50lbs...that sounds horrible for a backlake trip especially after you add the weight from the other gear. Even the Canadian Bargain Cave is a real gem! Unfortunately they have fewer items in the Canadian Cabelas Online. For example, I can't get Saskatchewan boots inserts here grrr. Between cabelas.ca and wholesale sports, which is the BEST online store, I wouldn't be sad to see BPS go "poof", although it seems unlikely.
