  1. Dam dawg I was really starting to worry about ya, this explains a lot bud. I am very glad to hear your dad's on the mend. Man you've been thru a lot the last couple of weeks. Hope you are all done with the heavy stuff so you can enjoy the holidays! Take Care Phil
  2. Never been into superstitions, but after a deep sea charter in Hawaii a few years back I don't like to see bananas in the boat I do have a favorite rod though Whopper
  3. IMHO to me it boils down to two things size of the boat and what kinda of fishing your doing. Smaller boats tillers a great, larger boats I don't think you can beat the comfort of a console. Whopper
  4. I have a water softener that requires salt nuggets, so I usually put 5 or 6 40lb bags of salt in the bed over the back axle for the winter. Whopper
  5. LOL set up a video camera first!
  6. Ya had me nauti I just went out back to have a look see, kinda cloudy but could see a few stars anyho. I had the pleasure of seeing the northern lights a few times but each time it was while I was on trips in Northern Ontario. The summer before last was the most amazing display that I have ever seen VERY COOL Whopper

  9. I've only owned two boats. Going to have to dig out the scanner for my first. it was a used 1970 15.5' Bassmaster bass boat that was called the "Green Machine". The name came about for two reasons, first it was the ugliest shade of green and second when the first ATM's came out the local bank called them green machines, so that is where all my spare money went. Had a lot of good times in that boat and my son cried and was mad at me for quite awhile for selling that one. My present boat "Lil' Red" was bought to accomodate our family at the time and has served it purpose well. Hopefully in a couple years I will be able to upgrade to a more fisher friendly boat. Current boat is eleven years old.

  11. Congrats Roger! Always a good thing to have the Mrs approval Whopper
  12. Dustin, I have made that trip along the north shore of Superior a few times and absolutely love the drive, very scenic. If memory serves me correctly it's about 450miles from "The Soo" to Thunder Bay and about 8 to 9 hours of travel time. It's a great drive during the day and beats the heck out of driving thru Wisconsin. Gas will cost you a little more though. Good luck in your planning! Whopper
  13. Congrats Peter! Glad to hear your hard work is paying off and you are being rewarded. I hope you and your family have a great Holiday Season. Whopper
