I called BULL and challenged the OP for some details. I've only been away from Dal a few years and there ain't no way there's a 20 year old anglers association that I wouldn't have heard of or had belonged to! As for the rest of the fantasy....did I read something about traction? (seems like SOMEONE has one wheel in the sand). He'd have more luck reintroducing walleye stocking! Michael

Everything I've checked says the new valve is defective, imagine that? Is there any way air is getting in somewhere else? Loose coupling, pinhole or some such? If the sink drains overnight for example (or at least gets lower) it would evidence air getting in somehow, and it's just enough to defeat the air admittance valve. Michael

Best of Luck Ron! Don't be surprised if they withdraw the charges or dismiss the case outright - by now they've had time to calculate the odds of getting a conviction aren't very good, or at least they bloody well should have! Michael

Daddy to the rescue again eh? Good thing he trusts y'all with his toys. Real slow summer down here, finally broke down, decided to put less time in until the fall, renewed my license and started doing some exploring locally. Might even see if my tinny floats this week! Michael

New (different?) Canoe? Thought you were running an old Sportspal? Looks like a great day! Michael

Check your switches to see how many wires are on the actual switches themselves. Sounds like you have interupted the "traveller" or "feed" on a 2 or 3 way switched line that may have controlled or fed the outlets. There's about 10 different ways it can be wired up, try googling 2 way and 3 way switch wiring to get the schematics. If you are not comfortable with this you will need an electrician or someone with some experience. Most big box stores like Home Depot have displays showing how this is done (most common method) that will be a big help as well. Good Luck! Michael

While I always felt confident I "knew" that reg existed it's good to see it quoted, even with the non-standard "B" (wonder what the profanity filter thought it meant?) Good job getting that up for the rest of us Joey! Michael

"I've seen better prices, you should have been "moderately priced tackle" How many times I gotta tell you that tailgate stuff is gonna get you in trouble! It didn't really FALL off ya know! At least mine's legit! Michael -

ummm....because the one I wanted (TnT) was taken already on here, sooo.... it kinda describes what I do instead of an acronym for my business. Using that logic, Chad, you should have chosen "two fister"! I've seen ya rod castin' and it shocks the heck outta me that you aren't literally tossing the whole shebang overboard (but ya do get the job done I gotta admit!) Michael -
Did you notice if it was "peeing"? (as it's called) That would lend more support to ec's suggestion about overheating. You did say you ran it when you changed batteries so this should (hopefully) be a moot point and more of an indication of wiring problems. Michael

Chad - what about hanging them in front of the vents in your vehicle on the way home to dry them out? Shouldn't be too hard a task I would think. Michael

I have often said there should be SOME form of testing required in order to obtain a fishing license but that it should also be simplified and not go the way the PWC card did. I like the ideas of open book and only for the initial license application, after all you don't have to re-test for a drivers license, right? (until you're about a million years old anyhow!) Pointing out the language issue was done-good call but don't we only have 2 official languages in Canada that would have to be addressed? (not being a smartass, just observing). Onus is on the applicant to know the language and the law which is what this is all about to begin with! Costs should be low as well like with the PWC test, 40.00 seems to work for that, sometimes you can get a discount as well (unless that changed too!). I'm sure any of us could come up with 36 basic fishing questions covered by the free copy of the regs, may it's time the government listened as well. 20.00 should be ample for this considering that, unlike the PWC, fishing is an annual fee not a lifetime. One last point I noticed mentioned in general - it should be MANDATORY for any offeneder to do an IN DEPTH testing before having a license restored, and only ONE chance given. Re-offend and yer off the water for LIFE! Michael

Ellwood Epps on Highway 11N just north of orillia, Trombly's @ Highway 12 & West St. S, Hook & Bow @ the Narrows are the 3 I know of. Jacobs (?) bait on 11N just south of orillia, but I'm not sure if they're still in it or not. Michael

Nice goin' Chad! But but but ya didn't get the tackle in the picture - alas and woe is me for yet another lost opportunity to post a success picture on the wall. That would have been a great one old buddy! Real glad you finally got a chance to break them in! Keep 'em tight! Michael

Ya really didn't expect to strike gold the first time in a new area during a late spring didja? Pretend it's like last year when you were exploring my lake - ya had fun then! Michael -
need help !!!! regarding a co officer

Go to court. Plead guilty with an explanation. Say you were wrong, have further researched the regulations and found out where you were wrong and have ALTERED YOUR FISHING HABITS ACCORDINGLY. The worst case scenario is what you already know - fine and conviction no matter what. The best is a "suspended sentence", keep your nose clean afterwards and no fine, no record unless you re-offend. I was young once too, that's what I did and have been doing ever since with no further reprisals. Oh, and make sure you do alter your habits and don't re-offend, I have no experience with that aspect.... Michael -
I tried it for my lake (St. John) and there was no result until I did an area search for Longford Mills. It was tagged as an unknown lake and said to contain Muskie, which I've been told it does not. However, as has been said, it's a first effort which has room for improvement. They have the basice infrastructure for the site and now need to make it better, which I am sure will happen over time. This is a pressured ministry, with a huge mandate, so I'm actually surprised they were able to find the resources at all for this effort. Wonder what it might be like a year from now! Michael

Almost sounds like it's having an initial fuel supply problem as in getting it up from the tank to the motor. I'd start by checking the tank line & primer bulb, then look at the diapraghm & hose on the motor itself. Not sure of the exact setup you have but it should be quite visible with the cowl off the motor. Do you have the multiple carbs on that unit? We had one with 4 back in the day and had to take it in to get them set up - got overwhelmed ourselves. If Bernie chimes in he'll be the one who really can help! Good Luck! Michael

Just got home and saw a guy dragging his sled out front (really!) - want me to run out and see if he can use them? Dying to know what happened to your day.... Michael -
Dunno which but I think I'm going to start accepting our second official currency as payment, use it to buy gift cards and use those to buy gas (it works!) Michael

Too True! Michael

ummmm..... 4.54 litres in a Canuck Gallon.... $1.219 per litre.... Carry the three etc. and add it all up and... $5.53426 per freakin gallon! I might be a half century old but I can remember as a kid of about 8 when the old man carped about it getting over 20 cents per gallon! But... In a lot of places you'll pay more than a buck plus taxes for 1/2 litre bottle of water, so at least gas is cheaper than that! (grrrrrrrrrrr...!!!!) Michael

Chad you losing it or something? From what I know of you you're a 365 day per year guy - not chunks here and there! Especially in your area! Buck up there dude, change tackle and have at it! Michael
