  3. Good morning. My son(14) and myself have had the pleasure of spending many happy hours fishing together for a variety of species, but we have never tried for crappies. Looks like fun. WITHOUT asking for any secret spots, could any OFNers tell us what to use, besides worms and an area north or northwest of Barrie where we could try. We have a boat. Any help is appreciated.
  4. The number one thing is that he was able to go home to his wife and kids. I over the years had to give some "compassionits" to remaining family, it is never easy to do. On the lighter side he was probably an over energetic OFNer who looked at the site and saw some of the amazing fishing on the lower Niagara and could not wait to get the job done so he could hook up his trailer and go. Tight lines just took on a whole new meaning. An was looking over him. Like my dad always use to say focus, focus, focus.
  5. report. Fantastic pictures and report. Don't feel bad about the gps. I still pull my hair out trying to fire up our hand held. You might have a convoy of boats following you down next year. Sounds like u had a great time. We just purchased a dehydrator. Hope to try it out next week. I will let you know the results. Thanks for sharing your report with us all. Cheers.
  6. Glad to hear your daughter is ok. There was an looking over her. I agree with Blue. Deer whistles work. Cheap investment, great returns.

  8. Good for you and your family and friends. Cold turkey is the way to go. Otherwise substitutes just seem to bring you back. The savings will buy you what is really important in life. Lots of gear. . You will feel better and not cough when you . In college I went up north and when in the boat of course u had to be cool with the boys so I had my first 3 colts in a row. BIG MISTAKE. My face took on the colour of my . I felt like . The water wasn't blue for long. Never smoked again. My hats off to you. Many more years of happy fishing to you. Cheers.

  13. Awesome trip and bang on pictures, our 14 year old wants to now try state side. Thanks for sharing the highlites of your trip. Congratulations again.
  14. Randy our hats are off to you. The world needs more people like you, who can see a persons abilities instead of their disabilities. Everyone , everyone regardless of their stature has to have something that they enjoy. Many go through life frustrated because no one took the time to let that individual show what they can do. What is the price for a smile and a litle bit of happiness. Priceless. My cousin in Sudbury married a weightlifter 14 years ago. He actually starred with Arnold Swartzaneiger in his first movie years ago. 4 years ago he was diadnosed with Lou Garretts. They have 3 teenage kids, and he cannot tie his shoe laces now. But he still has abilities as you have just proven with your friend. My cousins husband also is a huge fishing fan and we have modified our boat so he can still enjoy this past time. Thanks again for all of what you did. I am going to send this up to Sudbury so he to can be filled with the inspiration you have shown to the great members of the OFC. If you ever need help we are just a phone call away. Cheers.
  15. Thanks for your help everyone. I will try Bradford and Orillia.
  16. Good morning, as mentioned before we were priviledged to go into the Tyler fishing tournament. My wife 14 year old son and I were just going onto the ice that morning with our atv and pull behind sled when a lady took some pictures of us going out just to the left of the boat ramp. We have checked the newspaper and local events magazine for the pictures with no luck. It was a photograhers type camera with large lens and flash. We would like to get some of these pics for our scrap book as fishing is an important part of our family time. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  17. My 14 year old son and I have watched your slide show over and over. Thanks again for showing us your adventure. Trip of a lifetime.
  18. Constable Vu Pham's loss of life is a loss to us all. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and all who knew him. To bad the old man didn't live in Texas.
  19. Thanks again Irishfield, Moparhawk and guppy. Lots of ideas and we have been given lots of advice from the great members of the OFC. We truly appreciate it. There may be hope to squeak in a day of ice fishing yet. Cheers and tight lines to all.

  24. Thanks for all your advise and help regarding the tub surround. I had to go down to T.O. last night to see a family member who has just recently had some big time surgery. I appreciate everyones input. Instead of trying to get the PL off I will take your advice and go down to the studs and put up cement board. Thanks for all your help again. There is still hope to hit the ice next week.
