  1. I hear ya…they are snow machine or ATV only, takes 3 of us to load in the truck when packed with gear….awkward and heavy! But damn is it comfy!
  2. Hi all, Finally got out in the new Otter shack, it got cold! Went round the corner for a quick morning session before my buddy had to go to work. He managed to get 3, 1 of them a slab the other 2 kinda small. I lost a huge walleye…..DARN! There were scores of fish on the screen all morning but they had lockjaw, but the shack was nice and warm and the bucket seats waaaaaay more comfy than the old bench seat style I had before. The fish were in 30'FOW and were only responding to tiny minnows on a plain hook with a small splitshot for weight, they ignored even the smallest jig presentations. I had a slip bobber on when the walleye hit, never used one on the ice before…kinda fun!
  3. OK…you twisted my arm. Go get 'em !
  4. Yeah, we are actually in the deep basin…35' FOW
  5. Crappie New Year to you all! A few from new years eve. Very slow bite, only 4 fish between the two of us, but great to be out.
  6. That looks amazing…thanks for sharing.
  7. These pictures came up on my Facebook 'memories' notification today for this day 5 years ago when jack was just one and a half years old. It was his first ice fishing trip with me. We made his snow machine helmet with a kiddies bike helmet and some see-through plastic we found in the house and cut to shape and stuck on, I remember how proud he was to be wearing a helmet "just like dad's", he used to call the snow machine a "snowmean"….man I love him! Happy new year! Simon.
  8. Hi all, headed back down the road to Eagle lake for a short late afternoon session which did not disappoint. The bite was good ten days ago and even better this time around. Got enough for a fish fry each. all the action from 15' to 13' FOW. Jigs and minnows with 6 inches of ice. Happy Xmas to you all, thanks to Roy and all the admins for the unenviable task of keeping this place together and avoiding world war III on a regular basis. Tight lines and may Santa be kind Simon.
