When I'm holding that cradle that has your 50" muskie in it, I sure hope I don't accidentally let go of one of those bars..... I wanna be Batman.

Well, it has been a while since either of us had wet a line, and it seemed that after all that Lake Ontario trolling this summer, that it was time we turned our attention to some fall Muskies! So, Saturday morning...with a 70% chance of rain, we headed north. Launched around 8am and found our first spot to begin casting. Within a short period of time, it was apparent that the fish were on the feed! I was watching my suick come towards the boat when about 20 feet out it disappeared! First a splash as it torpedoed if from below...Then the flash of the underside of a musky and it took it straight down. I set the hook and it pulls right out of it's mouth! It didn't take much longer before Fishnsled lands a small one... All day long we went back and forth with fish....my first of the day... Fishnsled then lands this chunky 42 by 17" beauty! We then decided to cover more water and troll around some deep edges. We watched as the 70% chance of shower rained all around us, but never on us! Today was our day it seemed! While trolling, my rod goes nuts...after about 10 seconds, I realize it's not a big fish, but I'll take it! Then Fishnsled gets another nice one! End of Day one...saw us go 5 for 6...add in one follow that wasn't taking the bait and a one that rolled at the surface right at the bow of the boat and it was an incredible day! Day Two...we were going to go to Quinte originally with Fishnled's friend, but the wind forecase (35 km/h winds) caused a decision to head back for more muskie. With only a 20% chace of rain we were hoping for another banner day. As soon as we launch, the skies open up and it starts raining. It rained almost all morning long, but stopped just in time for Fishnsled to land his first ever Tiger Muskie! I have never seen one up close before, and I have to say, they are very cool!! Congrats to Fishnsled! The rest of the day was a bust...with one hit while trolling...but the entire weekend was a huge success!! Until next time....

That's very cool Will! So if no one claims the bird after its healthy, can you bring it home? Lol.

I have fished with quite a few OFC'ers since I joined back in 2006. A few of them I consider very good friends today...ones I would have never met if it wasn't for this site. I did a little thank you song for the site a few years back...anyone remember how it goes? That being said Jigger...we live what...10 minutes apart?? We have to stop saying "we should get out soon" via PM and just do it! LOL

Memories of a teen.... Hopping on the Go Train from the burbs and walking up Yonge street excitedly towards Maple Leaf Gardens to see a concert. Go into a few "head shops", grab some food from a street vendor and walk ao Sam the Record Man. An icon that will be missed for sure.

Yep! Was a great weekend as always...my gut still hurts from all the laughing! You had the hot boat? Where are your fish pics? Here's ours LOL Seems this perch was almost a toothy critter's lunch!! On the Friday evening, I caught a real nice keeper sized fish and put it in the livewell. I wanted a picture for the report so near the end of the evening, I took it out of the livewell....held it out to take a picture and Will says "I'll laugh so hard if the thing flips into the water". I said "Oh come on..." Two seconds later...with the fish held an arm's length out, it starts flipping out...Will turns to look just as the fish hits the water and swims away! Was great painting those jigs...went out and caught a walleye on it on the Sunday! The steaks...all I said to the butcher was "I want really really good grilling steaks" and he handed me the package! We are always fed extremely well there...one of the highlights of the trip for sure! Key? Hmmmm...I dunno...D minor I think! I was more impressed that we sorta got through Spirit of Radio! Some other assorted pics.... Will and I managed to get out on Saturday night after the rain. The protected areas were "ok", but the main lake still had 5 footers on it. We didn't stay out long but managed to take a pic of the sunset. I think Spiel was there too....can't remember for sure as I don't have any pictures of him....
