  1. Smallmouth Bass....CHECK! Great report 007. Your reports are always a good read...very descriptive and captures your mood and thoughts perfectly. The pics are a great touch too...a nice balance between scenery and fish. I know I'll be reading about your first Walleye soon, once you start to target them. Looking forward to your next report!
  2. Great report!!! Cant think of a better way to spend the afternoon. Congrats on the fish....and that swim definately looked refreshing.
  3. LOL...sorry...dont mean to laugh at you...let's call it laughing WITH you. Everyone has nights like you just did. If you continue to do the evening bite, then mosquito repellent will become your new perfume. Bly and I fish mostly at night, so I know what you went through there. I've lost more line than I like to admit as well. Keep trying....dont give up....when you get that fish on the end of the line, all those mishaps will be chalked up to "learning experiences". Here's to better luck next time!
  4. Great report! Must be awesome fishing with your dad. Sorry to hear about the camera!!!
  5. He's got the hold and pose down perfectly! My kids got us back into the sport as well, and now my wife and I fish religiously !!! Great report and pics...seeing the smile on a kid holding a fish is priceless.
  6. Wow...beautiful colours on that steelie! I cant wait to wrestle a few of those in the tribs when the run begins. Great job out there!
  7. Pretty scary...7 confirmed dead, about 20 still missing. Heard a story of a school bus with 50 kids aboard....all survived!!!
  8. Great report guys! Nice to see these kinds of reports where members of the board can get together and have a great time. Some real lunkers there!!!
  9. Wow...some nice fish there...all from shore I see. I dont believe you either, can you GPS me those coordinates so I can verify myself? LOL. Great job!!!
  10. Guess that pretty much eliminates the catch (shoot) and release aspect of the sport.
  11. I've been looking for one too...this is what Tony wrote on the pinned swill thread....
  12. Great report Terry! Love the animated gif of the assembly of the boat. The video was a real nice touch too! Oh yeah...nice fish....LOL.
  13. Wow Jason!!! I cant believe it! I know you said you dont use it, but it's still an amazing gesture. Thank you very much! Bly and I will use it for sure...and the kids both pretty excited about it too. This community is amazing...no two ways about it.....
  14. I'm going to get better tie downs as well...I just used poly rope. I managed to get it pretty tight and it didn't move around too much at all. In the water, it was a bit tippy, but I've been looking online at some canoe stabilizers and saw you can actually make them pretty inexpensively. The cheapest I saw online was around $200...for a few styrofoam blocks and a 1x3 piece of wood! We may not use it to fish, but wanted it for when we took the kids out. I'll let you know how the trolling motor works....
  15. How did I miss this thread?? Oh well...I gotta say...that's a great looking boat!!! Nice to the familiy on board as well. Hey, a first fish is a first fish...did it attack a trolling spoon?? LOL. Looked like a great time was had by all....congrats again on the new boat...you look completely at home on it already.
  16. Great report as always Jen!!! Sorry to hear about being 2 minutes late for the weigh in though. Some real nice walleye there and that 10 pounder is VERRYYYY nice indeed! Love those black and white shots too...there's something about those shots I really love. Sounded like an awesome weekend out there...congrats!
  17. Way to go! Some nice carp! I hope the GF migraine is better...those things SUCK big time.
  18. Great report! A first ever rainbow for one and a personal best for another. Now THAT'S a successful fishing trip! Some real nice fish there...congrats on a great day out there!
  19. Welcome to the board....looking forward to your reports!
  20. I went there once this past spring for the first time. Had no idea where to fish....LOL. Didn't end up catching anything....it was a cold and windy day, so I didn't stay long.
  21. Good job out there! Taking the bus around isn't the most convenient thing to do, so I applaud you on your perseverence! So you took your ice fishing gear on a 30+ Celsius day?? Get any strange looks?? LOL.
  22. Great report! Kids just love the beach...there's something about a sandbox "bigger than your house" thing...LOL. Looks like a great time was had....and who'd have thunk it was Scarborough???
  23. LOL...and the fact that you had your fishing great was just a coincidence...hehe. Do they have computers up there yet? Sean....great report and pics. It's great seeing you get out there and fishing...I always look forward to your reports. Some real nice eyes there...hope the fish dinner was spectacular! Sure is a pretty spot in the summer...I was born here in the big city...dont know if I could handle winters up there...LOL.
  24. Great stuff Sam and Laurie! Wish I could walk into my job and say "Hey..I'm going fishing instead"....LOL. Some real nice fish there...she looked like she was enjoying herself. Very nice pics...and great report. Oh yeah...I have a rather large fish for you....let me know the next time you are going through town.
  25. Awesome stuff Maueen!! This is what it's all about. I love stepping back and watching kids fish. The excitement and smiles makes my day. My little plays with and names our bait as well...especially live bait...LOL. She plays with real worms and minnows whenever she gets the chance. Great report and pics...thanks a lot for sharing!
