  1. I'm getting near the end of my photo project and I am in search of a few specific photos.... If anyone has anything that fits the following description, please post!! Please add the board name of the person in the pic, and have the size be as close to 800x600 as possible. thanks. 1) Pic of someone with their hands down an ice hole grabbing a fish....or even with your hands down a hole 2) If you have a look of bewilderment on your face! 3) If you have a look of frustration on your face. 4) Being aggresive towards someone else...in a joking manner of course. 5) A shot of your family all fishing in it. (preferably with kids and at least one adult) Try to make them fishing related, although it's not mandatory. BITEME....do you have a copy of your old avatar? You know...that scary looking bald head shot?? LOL. Thanks everyone!
  2. Wow Johnny!! Amazing report! Almost felt like I was along for the ride. Thanks for the effort in putting this one together...looks like you had a great time out there.
  3. This is a family board Will.... Excellent report!! Looked like a great day to be on the water....and all the food....man...I'm getting more and more hungry each time I see that bbq shot!!
  4. Check this link and choose the closest city. It's a bug forecast on theweathernetwork.com..... http://www.theweathernetwork.com/index.php...=cancitieson_en
  5. That's pretty cool! Must have had the old adrenaline going! Hasn't happened to me yet, but saw it happen to Fishnsled last year with a perch he had on.
  6. Wow Lew...thanks! PM Sent.... And to everyone else...thanks a lot for your suggestions and tips...will be trying them out for sure!
  7. Just add to Zamboni's post...colour of boat as well. Also, ask if the buyer would want the boat and motor priced separately on the receipt.
  8. I'm not sure if it's worse this year or not....maybe I didn't pay much attention before because I didn't have a boat, but it seems that almost every weekend I want to head out in the boat, the winds are howling! That wont stop me from fishing necessarily, but I want to be able to have better boat control when it's windy. I've gone back and read threads about drift socks, but wanted some opinions.... Here's some relevant info (I hope). We fish the Kawarthas....mostly Scugog because of how close it is, but would like to explore many others this year. I have a 14 foot tinny, with an 18hp motor....so the package does not weigh a whole lot Ok...the questions.... How many drift socks should be deployed? I've read articles that show 2 for best control. If you deploy only one, how do you find it? If I go the 1 drift sock route....would you get a 30 or 36" one? Even bigger? Most info I read said for a 14 footer, no need to go larger than 36" If I go the 2 drift sock route, should I get the two smaller ones so that the drift isn't too slow? Anyhow, thanks for your patience....this fishing from a boat thing is new to us!
  9. Yep...they do get smaller from a boat. Bly and I catch lots of rather big fish from shore, and only baby fish from our boat....LOL. Here's some proof.... Bly's shore walleye.... Bly's boat walleye.... My shore Salmon.... My boat salmon....
  10. Classic 5 of diamonds
  11. As far as I know, Muskie is not in season within a 100 km radius of the GTA, so that will likely limit you to salmon fishing on Lake Ontario. Here's a link to some charters.... http://www.ontariofishing.net/linkspages/Fishing_Charters/
  12. Bly does pretty well going after these guys!!
  13. Great report Johnny! Awesome description of the day's events and some nice pics as well.
  14. Very sad....my condolences to the family, all their friends, and the community.
  15. LOL...I bought that product for Canadian Tire about 7 years ago as well... I always wondered how much fish turd it took to make a box of that stuff....
  16. Awesome stuff Kemper! When I was your age, me and my buddies did our best to get kicked out of provincial parks.....if only I fished back then....LOL. Great job on the pics and the "cola" cans as well...had me laughing!
  17. Nice work Glen! I take the lazy way out...I get mine from Bernie....LOL. I'm sure they'll be catching plenty of fish....take Bernie's advice for Nipissing!!
  18. Wow.... If you do a google search on him and find his official website, you can read his weekly blog there. Even though he still hasn't made the cut, the way he stays positive and counts his blessings is truly inspiring. Thanks for that link.
  19. Congrats...when nothing else is biting from shore, carp fits the fishing addiction that's for sure!! Great job on that bad boy!
  20. We haven't named our boat as of yet either! Here's a link to a thread I started last fall...may give you some more ideas..... http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.p...c=12515&hl=
  21. Congrats!!! So, where did you end up buying?
  22. Didn't you just sell a CRV Mike? I know I know....it was an older model but still...the irony is there....
