  1. Stuck with tracks on it Paul...or are you talking just tires? I'd never think of heading out into snow with tires only.
  2. You should have been after the TE401 Calcutta Glen... not the Cardiff
  3. One's enough TB !! 60 MPH, WITH THE TOP ON, is fast enough to get you home!
  4. Cheaper to take the fine ! Just don't run anyone over....
  5. I can think of many better ways to spend $120,800 ! Knobs down..he's also burning 128 gallons per hour. Bet he only has 50 minutes fuel in that boat.
  6. Fat stripper? You guys go to Go Go's in Belleville? Oh yah..
  7. Try clicking the link Snag put in his post dsn !
  8. They are fully charged right now...may hit the bay a couple times yet and they'll be fully topped then. Plugged in once thru the winter to bring back to peak and again before hitting the water. Has worked for decades..will work now, no different than storing old cars like I've done for 30 years in unheated storage, and all the customers airplanes in the hangar. Topped before winter and once thru the winter. I now use the Minnkota single bank charger I took out of my Glastron for doing the airplanes...so I don't have to worry about forgetting I put it on one night to find a fuselage full of acid the next morning. Not leaving anything plugged in 24/7 to find out it has shorted out/squirrels have chewed it... catching the boat on fire...having the charger screw up and stay on high and boil the batteries dry...or any other scenerio. Have seen most of them... I don't think anyone has seen me report... "took my boat to the ramp and it wouldn't start due to a bad battery".
  9. Even Rich decided it was a Brown, even though he was adamant it tasted like salmon, after finding out Atlantics were closed! LOL
  10. Guess you're not available to hit the bay next week? What's that...you just quit? Good to hear! LOL
  11. Power scooter for shallow city fountain ponds!
  12. I have unboard chargers in my boat for all 4 batteries as well...but I sure ain't gonna leave it plugged in all winter and forget about it. What did we ever do before modern electronics? It worked then (charge before storage and maybe once thru the winter)...it'll work now.
  13. NO Brian...the old myth is it drains the battery leaving it on the floor! That's where I thought you were going. Battery will not freeze if it has proper acid SG and fully charged. All that said...I never put them on the floor..I leave'm in the boat !
  14. Both ya's kinda! LOL... If it has a CANADIAN coast guard approval tag in it...you're good to go! None of us wear "Standard" life jackets anymore...those are the key hole thingies that I have in the bow netting just to cover anyone that's not legal with what they're wearing at inspection. They will fit on you if you are wearing a non approved floater suit in the boat!
  15. Turkeys...what turkeys...
  16. YOu gots it Brian...but if you are wearing an older Helly Hanson that's not approved or similar on your body..the Approved PFD you have stuck in the storage hole better fit over top of it to satisfy a picky OPP inspector.
  17. Pretty much have to put it on and jump in a pool/lake somewhere to test it. The material will start to disintigrate over time...you can send the suits back to mustang to have them refilled.
  18. Welcome aboard...tons and tons of ministry forests to hunt in....and some other places as well!
  19. Best route??? Swing by here and pick me up...
  20. Just make sure it's/they're fully charged before winter and all will be swell provided nothing is draining them down. As for the concrete floor...myth from the days of old wood case battery..but if you do have a battery that is leaking any acid it will eat a hole in your concrete! Cliff...great job...did you get the old CTC handyman to help you with that? LOL
  21. Roy!
  22. Yep...that's what the crazy glue is for in the top of EVERY tackle box.
  23. Thanks guys! Much appreciated. Hard to justify any expense when it comes right down to it...as I only make 2 or 3 trips North each winter...but I rather not go thru what I have been again with my "big" Yamaha 250 Bravo out on the ice the last couple of years. It's fine for the few times I use a sled around here in the snow. I have no interest in humping the trails...I just want something safe to run the lake with when at the cabin to check on it and ice fish in the winter with the lads. Terry...have seen those tracks. They have a used set in Alliston for about $2000 and I could put them on my Yamaha Big Bear I presume.
  24. Found their website...claims it will claw it's way back up on the ice.. I'd have to see it to believe it.
  25. Just another one of the many cricks that drain into Lake Ontario...just like they've done for centuries! There ain't no secrets on Lake O...lets all give our heads a shake there. Nice report chickenhawk...get them pics posted up with the backgrounds asap!
