Well I don' t know if the elk ever caught up to them cows... but I do know of a Bull... that caught up to a Bison ! Did a lot of damage and left his blood behind as well !

Yah.. I know..but that would be too easy. I was also told (hopefully incorrect) that they're not a Lowrance dealer anymore either... nor is Bay Wholesalers in North Bay. As of late summer we had to order my network parts directly from Lowrance in the USA.

The box worked well at check out... threw everything in and walked out the door. Easier than two 10 lb balls in a plastic bag for sure ! Box is to house the battery, finder, etc. Already had a ram mount ball and connector...so just mount the ram balls flange to the top of the box and I'm good to go...and really get ticked now when I can now see movement down there but still no bites!!

So with what appears to be a lack of Canadian official dealers of LEI products and their website refusing to ship to anyone in Canada.. I went out in seach of the proper PC-28-BL power supply cord so I could take my Lowrance 102C from the bow of my boat and use it for ice fishing. Was in Bass Pro, today, going thru their limited supply of LEI products. Only three power supply cords on the pegs... and none the right one...or so I thought. They had about 50 of the PC-23X that is supposed to be for the X-51/71/91 Fishmark series. It is a grey connector... not blue. I noticed it had the same power pin locations as my 102C and connector indent/bump locations... just minus all the pins for network and data... that aren't needed for ice use. Took it out of the package... walked over to the electronics counter..whipped a Lowrance unit off the gimbal display and bingo...fits right on. Got it home and powered it up..good to go. So if you are looking for a spare power supply cord for you newer Lowrance that takes the blue connector for power...to use it for ice fishing... the PC-23X works just fine in place of the multi pinned PC-26BL $36.99 + tax in BPS. Did well.. got out of there only short $174.. the power cord..waterproof box..2 round downrigger balls that I can drag bottom safer with than sharks..and a couple spoons and some snap swivels. And yes Deg.. hid it all 'till after Christmas.. LOL Note... the PC-26BL is spelled out for all the following units. Wasn't a joke... simply a fact that about the only place that you see decades of "loyalty" to an employer anymore is in the "civil servant" category...thanks generally to a good pension on the out going end. Many deserve what they get, for what they've done over the many years... and many don't and why I knew I'd take some flack for that comment. I've got an aquaintence that was a school principal and now retired. He got paid quite nicely throughout his career and now goes to his mailbox on a weekly basis to collect his ~$80,000 a year for tinkering in his workshop! I'll work the same time period and all I'll find in my mail box is bills.

Congrats Paul !!! As HH points out 20 years is a rarity in this day and age, unless you're a civil servant waiting for a lifetime of serverance. (that should catch me some flack!) I have two guys left at the Plastics plant that are over 20 years... out of approximately 2000 that have come and go in the last 22 years. Christmas bonuses are as rare as hens teeth these days, but we have continued to do it, as we have since the beginning... Christmas bonus = $75 base + $25 for every years service.. plus we still have a Christmas Party dinner and dance. Some never think it's enough, but as you've pointed out many are very pleased that they are getting anything at all in comparison to most people they know.

Looking good !!! Got all the parts (except the required power cord) together in the shop to do the same with my 102C Lowrance... less your underwater camera that is.

DANG ! Now you tell me. Did the FIRST oil change on the 10 HP Tecumseh.... on my 10/28 Yard Man / MTD... today. Bought it in 1990 or so. Other than freeing up the carb throttle shaft (so the governer could actually move it) and the choke today...putting the primer line back on that had rotted off the carb...it's never skipped a beat..including the 2nd pull to start it after service today. Then moved the 4 foot deep pile on the sidewalk that was snow fall and roof fall combo. Always been a good machine. Like Mike said... you'll appeciate that 10 HP come the first deep wet snowfall.

Buddy in North Dakota out for a flight yesterday as he'd heard rumours of Elk travelling with the Moose... and he got proof. Not something you'll see every day. Now if they breed...whadda you get?

You're just doing it all wrong. I've never had a child keep me off the water or shore. Make a family day out of it... picnic by the stream/river/lake. A bit of romance, some time with your child...and when baby starts crying stick him on a boob and hit the shoreline!

So it is true... Joey's not gonna let you ride on it! LOL

Be a long cold flight...but would be an adventure fishin along the way (till we ran out of fuel anyhow!) LOL
