Am I reading the regs correctly for Trout Lake. The fact that lake trout and altlantic salmon are only open for 6days !? 3rd Saturday in June 'till the Friday before the 4th Saturday in June. Also a bunch of the lake is a sanctuary from May 15th to July 31st.

I know some lads that fished it Saturday and Sunday...they had to pull their stuff with ropes...across open water to get from shore to the ice.

Cold is good for battery life...ONLY IF IT's FULLY CHARGED.. so it won't freeze. I'd suggest charging them up asap ! Even "after use" they aren't always fully charged. Mine were really low after last use due to draw being = or higher than the kicker was producing for 4 days of trolling BOQ in November.

Apples to Apples Lund is no more expense than any of the others. Compare equal models of boats from Lund, Princecraft, Crestliner and you'll see that. The 300 Verado is the first 30 grand...9.9 pro kicker $4700..LCX and bow mount FF another $2800..trolling motor $1000...leaving about $21k for the boat itself. I can say that Ford is more expensive than GM as well....when I want a Malibou and you want an F350 Diesel.

I'm sure your wife knows where to buy insurance for when you fall off the back Andy!

LIGHT layers of water at a time or you're gonna have air pockets...and why those jiffy bags suck. They freeze with a huge air bubble in the center. Don't make your ice too thick...or you're gonna find out that deck splinters nicely !

Do a search... over the last 2 years we've discussed this move by Lund a few times. I left glass for a reason and stand by my old arguement that Lund should stay with what they know, and let the many other companies under the Brunswick umbrella build the glass boats.

Guess it all depends what body of water that boat is floating on ! LOL If an inland lake...he'd be best to find a floating ice block to get out and stand on when the CO comes along.
