  1. Don't know Spookd... the picture quickly disappeared when you mentioned it last time. As for unethical.. I don't know, but definitely unhealthy out of Little Lake.
  2. Lookin good lads. I need to do some of that as well as the one front.. one rear LED yellow lights that Lund installed in a 22 foot boat just don't cut it. As matter of fact.. they're USELESS and I always have to get my flashlight out after dark.
  3. Yep... and these lads can even do that in our waters!!
  4. Dang... well wrap'm in roe bag mesh and Bob's your uncle. No more wasting spawning fish to catch fish...
  5. The Verado is progammable. I had the Merc guy sit on my boarding platform with his laptop and update mine.. change some settings.. etc. Not sure how much they can change.. but gonna ask next time I see him. Maybe I can get 25Hp for free.
  6. Not all parks are alcohol free.. just the ones that need to be for obvious reasons. Also note that many private campgrounds will not take transient campers that weekend, because they know in advance what they'd be getting themselves in for.
  7. I haven't seen any bush in days...
  8. Yep... always a mystery. Different cam lift/timing/fuel jets/carb size/injector size etc. Consider The Verado... 225/250/275 and 300 HP are all the same displacement and RPM range. Haven't checked .. but I bet the new 350 is the same displacement as well.
  9. Me too G.. found the standard thread threaded fitting fit my Verado perfect, but they were both too large for my kicker. No problem... the metric thread fitting screwed perfectly onto a plastic tapered pool toy inflator that came with one of those road side emergency compressors. Stuck it in the hole and pumped in the oil... worked perfect.
  10. Edzakery !!! Problem with the squeeze bottle is trying to collapse it enough to get the oil out and into the lower unit. I used to do it that way for years... 'till this year as matter of fact... but bought the $5 pump that screws in the bottle now and that's the cats meow.
  11. Someone was pullin your carp buzzer Good Bye !
  12. Knew I should have done a "pictorial" when I did both of mine...
  13. Hey Jed.... yuz mixing up a boy with a guy !
  14. There's no difference between drifting a roe bag on the end of a pin reels leader than a small marshmellow. Lets not lump the bait in use as "illegal" when possibly the method is what should be questioned. If you're not using a 6/0 treble and sight snagging.. then it's legal per the regs. No CO can charge you for throwing a marshmellow out on a #2 wide gap... 6 feet of line and a 1/2 ounce weight to hold it in the stream. Haven't done it in 23+ years... but it's still a legal means of fishing if the fish is caught with hook in mouth. It's no different than throwing a dead/live minnow out on a hook with the line running thru a sinker... like the Lindy Rig. Also remember not all brands of marshmellows float !
  15. Talking to the right realtor may find you a private individual that will give you a first mortgage. Many people out there that would be glad to have a guaranteed 5% on their money right now!
  16. $1.227 here this morning for regular. $1.29 for diesel. Cost me $100 even to fill my truck. Can't wait to haul the boat over to the premium pump at $1.37 and add 300 litres...
  17. Threads always go "south" when the aformentioned "personality" (that's no longer mentioned there) is mentioned in a thread. Dan saw the humour in it and removed it. Figured he may get some true product reviews that way.
  18. Thanks for the pics Drew... good to see you got lucky there this spring. Leah's sure growin... and man her facial features sure shows who dad is!
  19. BTW Minnow... have your father, or yourself, check what batteries DT put in the boat. We have issues with mine and the fact that the kicker alternator does not produce enough wattage in comparison to what the power steering pump uses.. thus your kicker battery will be slowly killed if trolling all day on the kicker. We were only getting about 2 hours on the BOQ in the fall before my Lowrance would shut off as we were down to 10.7 volts and would have to start the big motor to recharge things. I finally just unhooked the kickers isolated connection to the power steering pump to stop the drain down. After working all winter with the dealer, Mercury and Lund... the Verado battery (that can't have anything but the Verado hooked to it) and the accessory/kicker battery are now spec'd to be both AGM's .. Absorbed Glass Matt batteries... or Acquired by Great amounts of Money! I'm being reimbursed for the two that I picked up today, while Terry and I were out killing time. I got a deal on them at, with tax, $573.69 for the pair ! West Marine's catalogue price is $295US a piece. Temagami Marine isn't gonna be too happy reimbursing this one... but they're gonna anyhow on customer satisfaction alone. Lund and Mercury won't cover it for them and why I suggest you have a look NOW to see what DT put in your boat. If you find they installed normal wet acid batteries and DT gets their fur up... tell them to call Art Bates at Mercury.. and he'll set them straight. Minimum battery spec is AGM 800MCA and a minimum RC25 rating of 135 minutes capacity. I bought West Marines Sea Volt 8A31DT that has 1000 MCA, 190 minute reserve and 105AH. They JUST fit in the battery trays. Other recommended batteries that meet spec are Exide XMC-31, Optima D31M and West Marine Sea Volt 8A27M AGM... if you can find them.
  20. They sure would Mike... at the courtesy desk now when you enter the stores. Might not open 'till 8:30 though..
  21. Yah... but he didn't say what he was doin when he put that back out ! Welcome back to reality bud !
  22. Probably more just distancing themselves from the thread.... due to aformentioned "personallity" ! lol
  23. Remember Bill... leave your Team #5 Logo at home !!
  24. I believe HH just peels back some lead core covering... breaks off the lead... coats his mono with super glue..shoves it in the now missing lead cores position and rolls the cover back over top. Same on the hook end mono. No knots...just glue to attach to the lead core.
