  1. An automatic transmission can never run too cool. They pulled a fast one on you.. with YOUR money. That said.. my F150 has a towing package on it and it doesn't have an "extra" tranny cooler. Hasn't been an issue pulling my 2150 Baron with the trucks little 4.6 V8 Triton engine... but the tranny has numerous gears.. for each gear to keep the torque up to the rear wheels.
  2. Great stuff HD... how thick was the ice on Temisk... we've got 14" in our bay on Temagami.
  3. Better check your spelling then.....
  4. Well Cliff.. at least I know why our phone's quiet.. Bly's away from her 25 cent connection ! LOL Looks like you'z boys was havin some fun....
  5. Even she can't believe what you said Brian... just look at the disbelief in her eyes !!!
  6. Anytime after.. say... 10 am is just fine Brian. Otherwise you can go look for deer and turkeys while I sleep..
  7. Purdy near twocoda... My runway is registered as "Irish Field" with Transport Canada. I run a business called Irish Field Aviation. irishfield was my "handle" for ebay and many other places.. figured why change things.
  8. I'll go lock the gate now...
  9. Na.. with Brian it was more a... "Misses... can I go fishin?" Mis - Fish
  10. How long you been around here Hon.... you know there's other beings out there.. well here for that matter !!
  11. Just had to post in the right place aye Mark... !
  12. Yep.. as Cliff says you need to mount it as high as you can but so it still gets the roof of the lowest compact car. Still gets the big does and bucks though.
  13. Yah.. but a nice Northern Scenery isn't hard to handle from time to time.. LOL
  14. I know a place Terry... 14" of ice.... Great stuff Sinker !!! You're making Terry hungry ! lol
  15. Exactly.. what Sinker said. If you wanna cast... come visit Midland Harbour !
  16. My Jiffy bought last year states 40:1. The good 50:1 Stihl oil I use in my chainsaw isn't gonna make any difference.
  17. Our deepest condolences Thomas. When all is said and done... a nice back lake, an auger and a comfy sled seat will help you reflect on all the great years you had together.
  18. Looks like some folks around Bancroft (over 10,000 of them) are gonna go without until New Years Day !
  19. Dang Chicken.. you're about as patient as my mother in law ! Buy yourself a couple of Suicks.. throw them out and let them sit.. twitch.. sit. Black/Orange #5 or larger Mepps... etc.
  20. Would be the simplest for sure Sturgman..... Not sure how long of an airhose you can use and still get the ding from the rise in pressure from the vehicle weight.
  21. They're great until a group of deer go thru at 4 am !... followed by a pack of coyotes right after you've drifted back to sleep. Haven't seen a gas station with an "air hose" dinger for many years! If you wanna do one... use a photo eye. I have one in the laneway about 1/2 way to the house. Hooked into our intercom to it's "door bell" connection. That way it rings from each intercom station so I know someone is coming whether I'm in the house/shop or hangar.
  22. If it only goes to 60 FOW they'll be down in the deepest crannies of it in August, unless there's a glacier stream flowing into the lake ! If jigging I'd use a similar approach to ice fishing. Williams Spoons. Medium sized tube jigs and this year I'm even gonna give my big Fuzzy Duzzit muskie jigs a whirl.
  23. Forgot about Lead core Sean.... he's gonna need a lot of it to get down in August. 80 to 120 FOW is where they always seem to be by then...and close to bottom.
  24. August... I'd say find 100 FOW and start jigging, if you don't wanna downrig or use steel line. Another way would be a 4 ounce + weight on a three way swivel and troll.
