  1. Its summer time....and the "real" Johnny Bass is back! That looks pretty awesome, I'm gonna join. Thanks for posting that.
  2. That wikipedia pic doesn't do the white perch justice, at all.
  3. I've got a motorguide 55lb wireless and I love it. Not complaints. Not 500 bucks, either.
  4. Good luck Wayne....nothing like GB Lakers....fat and beautiful! I'm heading out probably monday aft or Tuesday...or Wednesday...or maybe all three days! maybe i'll PM livinisfishin and see if he wants to go
  5. Without googling, can you tell the difference between the two?
  6. Alot of people get them confused with White Perch. We catch tonnes of them on Georgian Bay every year and thought they were white bass. Send the pics to the MNR biologist who confirmed that they were indeed White Perch, out in Severn Sound any way.
  7. Wayne, Those have nothing to do with the OFSC. It's a local guy, who I won't say his name on here, who has been doing that for the past 20 years to help snowmobilers throughout the winter season. They'll be fine shortly, when the ice melts. PM me if you want.
  8. Here's my littel boy....Great Dane fawn....he's 9 months old now, but this pic was when he was 7 months! He's a gentle giant and now weighs over 120 pounds.
  9. Heading down in a few weeks....I'll let you know how we do!
  10. You must have been listening to Z103 this morning
  11. I have the external for my Humminbird.....when I was trying to pick which one to buy....the lowrance model that I was looking at (can't remember which one now), you needed a seperate power source. I checked the reviews on cabela's for some of the internal and there were alot of complaints about losing their signals, so that is why I opted for an external.
  12. Oh crap....I'm gonna have to reflect and see where my priorities lie....I've got a Humminbird AND a Motorguide I've still got my handheld Lowrance though..
  13. Don't mean to rain on your parade Roy....I have the 787c2 and it is absolutely amazing. Humminbird has come a long, long way and have a top notch product. I was a lowrance purchaser, but thought I would test out the 787. I will never go back to a Lowrance. The accuracy is just as, if not more effective than a lowrance. Don't know where you got your information from.
  14. That was good
  15. Here's what I had done to my boat....(Tnx Rhybak)....it works awesome and can be removed very easily.... Not sure if that would help you or not....
  16. Lots of ice around all the marina's here. People still icefishing....for perch and whitefish I would imagine...It's gonna be a while yet
  17. Great report Wayne. I spent some time there this fall, brought my boat up to see my wife....she was in Sharbot Lake mediating...took my boat out on Silver Lake and fished the west side of Sharbot.... Absolutely gorgeous area in the summer. We're heading back this summer with fam.
  18. I'm no downrigger specialist by any means....but I would avoid using powerpro....you'll rip their lips right off I'm going with 12 pd for rigging....but drifting white tubes has always been good too....
  19. Not too shabby, terry
  20. The only reason I wanted just the temp was maybe I thought it would be cheaper? What is the cost of your unit?
  21. I am looking for a temperature sensor, not speed that hooks to my rigger weights....I've looked on Cabelas and BPS and located somethat were almost, if not more expensive than a fishfinder! I saw one about a week ago, that was wireless....and relatively cheap, but I can't seem to find it anymore Any suggestions?
  22. I was in Midland today, apparently it starts tommorow....they didn't have much stuff there, they just started organzing their summer stuff......hope they have stuff hidden in the back, cuz it sucked!
  23. Wait til' you see the new boat he's bringing up from Florida....UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  24. Three years in a row they do this on GB on April Fools Day.....check out aprilfoolsonline.com and you will see....one of the weber boys....if you get a chance to watch one of the full length videos, you can see via the headcam that at one point they are travelling 127 mph
  25. Thats a great program that they have going, especially to get children involved in fishing. The only problem that I see with it is the people putting outrageous sizes and there, with no pictures to prove at all and they accept it.
