  1. ice off paste there's a bunch of companies that sell it and any shop that caters to fly/float fishing will carry it
  2. Yeah it will be awhile before it clears
  3. With all the erie tribs I hit saturday being chocolate milk I'm sure the big river will dirty for a couple days hoping they clear by the weekend only a couple weeks left till season closes I need some chromers.
  4. I have had my cheapo lcd for 5 years with no problems so far but pic quality is not as good as samsung or LG but it was half the price.
  5. Log jams aka rainbow recliners. Ya gotta fish were the fish are even I'd it means losing a lot.
  6. Hey Ryan thats awesome Averie likes fishing so much and Luke will be just as interested in time. takes alot of patience to fish with little ones .I'm off for X-mas starting the 23 till the 4th so other than the obvious days let me know if your not busy and I will put ya on some L.Erie chromers before the good sections close for the year .
  7. the key to succsess is to keep your line off the water and use a quality reel I did it for years but once you try a pin you will never put another spinning reel on your float rod
  8. You have to sign up every 6 months I think that's how its set up I'm just starting to get them again.
  9. It is very hard to lose a pet and even harder to make the decision to put one down .Sorry for your loss
  10. Some ho's are definitely still around and yes I have caught fresh nooks in December but for the most part they are done but then again this has been a weird year weather wise so ya never know
  11. there pretty much done (salmon) but just about any river that had salmon in it will have trout (brown and bows)with the rainbows staying in till around june check the regulations and get a map you will find them and theres nothing better than catching a bunch of chromers from a spot you found and picked yourself.
  12. exactly Dalton's little project ,but there is no way of stopping this there has been several e-mail campains and they all get the same generic P-off response we will be paying this for the rest of our lives just like every other new tax .HST is supposed to "Save tax payers money"(from the e-mail sent from Daltons office)they have convinced them selves that this "needs" to happen and it will nothing the tax payer can do .I don't mind paying taxes it makes Canada Canada but I get sick to my stomach every year when I do my taxes and see how much I'm giving them
  13. you must have pissed him off or something. I fish tournies against him and he gives me the hands down best price around and if he's bangin fish on a new bait he tells me right away Jos is a great guy and gets 90% of my business and he returns the favor every time I go in the store .
  14. I sent Dalton a e-mail about it months ago and got a generic reply to the affect of suck it up butter cup it going to happen no matter what we do even if its the last thing he does its his little project.
  15. my escape has a roof rack that would hold a 12' tinny or a canoe no prob the car topper might be a bit wide but like drifter said thats a easy fix .they also have a bar that goes into the reciever of your hitch to support the back ent of a canoe so its not in front of the window .
  16. it's low and crystal clear and that was a few days ago we need rain bad .
  17. I never "palm" my reel just use my thumb and mabye my pointer finger if it's a big fish never had a prob in the rain .
  18. I don't eat bass very often but do enjoy a feed of smallies after a long opening day usually keep 2-3. I just use club house beer batter and add salt pepper and garlic and onion powder and I make it thinner than recomended its pretty good I cut it into small pieces.
  19. clear nail polish has worked for me in the past but if you know a rod builder they could fix it properly for you.
  20. I have it pvr'd but last weeks show was cool. JP when you doing a centerpin show would love to see that. Keep up the good work you and that Dave guy;) are the best shows on WFN.
  21. I would go with citica the braking system is truly a set it and forget it system you put 2 out 4 in and just adjust spool tension for different weight lures it's the same system in the curado's and you can cast with NO THUMB without birds nests and I'm not exaggerating there I don't adjust mine at all I just keep it set for light lures and use my thumb more unless I'm throwing big spinnerbaits ar bucktails for pike so I don't go to the backing when casting .
  22. I have a few $100+ rods and my most exp is a 13 foot Gloomis next to that is my 7 foot gloomis gl3 and it does make a difference but I also have a shimano clarus which is under a hundred and a BPS extreme that was $70 and both are great rods it just depends what you want to spend that's why they make so many get what you can afford and upgrade I had a 12 foot izumi signature series and loved it for salmon it all comes down to personal preference if your trying to be a pro-angler that you need the best if your a weekend warior than a less exp rod is just fine.
  23. and they wonder why people mis-understand the regs they couldn't just name the rivers in the area to be clear I'm a L.Erie guy so I don't know that area at all and now I know thanks and sorry for the confusion .
