  4. hey, im plannin on goin fishin tomorrow afternoon for pike/walleye around richards landing. is there a free place to launch a boat anywhere around there? or maybe there is a closer place to the soo thats got lots of walleye and pike that you recommend? thanks, JP
  5. i agree! kyle busch is a whinner with a big ego. i was goin for marcus but i'm glad that carl won. all in all, it was a good race!
  6. well, just 12lb monofilament will do (depends on what your rods rated for really), just make sure you set your drag right and your good in that department. now for lures, yes spoons and yes reel continuously. get a few 2/5oz little cleos, glow in the dark for night and any silver/green or blue or chartreuse combination for day. buzz bombs in any colour, you fish them with a reel, snap, reel retrieve. im not the most experinced salmon fisherman but i get the job done, lol. good luck to ya! JP
  7. well, i tried fishing in my river system for pike/walleye earlier in the year when the water was colder and got skunked 3 out of 4 times.... last night was 12 degrees and was great for salmon (got one my first cast). but no walleye.... anyhow the water is always warmer than the air so the fish are still likely to be active considering the water temp will have only dropped a few degrees. oh and for bass... idk about them but im thinkin good. hope this helps, JP
  8. DAMN! lol thats a really nice on! my biggest king was around 26lbs
  9. yup im with Dr.S, i just used 10lb berkley trilene mono. and i caught a 22" roughly 6lb salmon tonight with it! and if your paying attention it doesnt fray.... at least with me anyway. i just did buy some berkley stuff.... the package is silver, im pretty sure its flouro....
