  1. this is a hard one but i think jones wins by GnP,although i want teixeria to win. davis by unanimous decision Boetsch by tko miller by tko halliway by spilt decision and ill toss in jasmyn duke by sub (prelim)
  2. well i'll be up there with a brand new trolling motor and brand new gas motor,so lets hope those rocks dont find me
  3. BAG! i always had boxes which were cool to sit on,but a pain in the azz to carry around for me. having a backpack is much more comfortable and can hold much more.
  4. i wait for their tools to go 70% off before i walk into CTC then i walk around. but it makes one think,if they are selling items at 70% off and still make a profit, thats some mark up they got.
  5. we ended up booking at totem point lodge on wolseley bay. just counting down the days now
  6. canadian tire have the craziest prices for fishing equipment. its just insane,i dont even know how they move anything.even when they have their discount table of opened merch, broken boxes ect they have a few rapala's reg price 12.99 on sale 9.99, the same lure is 7.99 at grimsby tackle in perfect shape.
  7. i often wonder if mountsberg has any employees or conservation authorities.they never seem to be around except to ticket the odd car for not paying the fee. it would be in their best interest to make sure the fishing is decent and not turn into a joke like vallens.
  8. when i was a kid my dad turned me on to shimano. ive been using them since for rods and reels. of course ive had other set ups and still have other makes i use like st.croix and abu garcia ect. but my favourite setups are my shimano's
  9. had gulp garlic spray once. never caught anything with it and it leaked in my tackle box.
  10. ive been reading many old posts and websites where people claim that the musky in elephant are all but gone due to snot rocket pike?
  11. this is all great info thank you. im really leaning twords elephant lake, but not a fan of the walking across the road ,down a hill part tho. also totem point lodge was on my top 5 before i replaced it with bear lake. might have another look at totem. i read a review on a website where they review lodges and fishing and i think they said the german owner banned the whole group for life because of a cottage not being up to par LOL
  12. not sure why this has become a moral lesson on savings..... as for cars, harleys and drinking,i suppose i should update my profile since i no longer own the race car or the harley and im lucky to have time for a beer or 2 a week these days. not sure why an ATV came into this, also i probably could spring and pay for it all up front or at least a majority of it but i like to keep cash aside for emergencies.so a finance would be best for me i think. ,but thanks for all the opinions on the matter. its good to know that 20% is not yamahas norm for financing.
  13. ive really got no debts. my credit is good.so i dont mind financing an outboard but i wont if the rates are crazy.
  14. if so what are you paying for an interest rate? im reading that outboard sales are rough so they charge north of 20% which is just insane. if this is the case yamaha is the last place ill be going through for financing. i ask because i dont want soft hits on my credit finding out what their rates are like.
  15. im glad i did that. it reminded me of that one couple who had a vacation ruined and if i recall golden eagle stepped up and took them in. ialways wondered how it turned out and now i know.
  16. ok thanks, ill not be going to bear lake lol
  17. this will probably be my wife and I's last vacation for a few years so were want to make it a good one. pike and bass is what we're after and muskie wouldnt hurt either of course lol here are a list of a few that seem best for us. any opinions of these would be great ,i welcome other suggestions as well. 1.wolseley lodge (french river) 2.golden eagle camp (elk lake area) 3.charlton lake camp (espanola area) 4.silver springs cottage resort (elephant lake) 5.bear lake lodge (bear lake-french river) we will be going in july and have our own boat (14ft 20hp) so not too interested in huge bodies of water. thanks to all who offer an opinion
  18. im not a hudak fan either, but the liberals need to be taught a lesson, they have been crushed at the federal level and need it to happen at the provincial level, but the province of toronto will re-elect them and as usual one city holds an entire province hostage.
  19. yup,she hasnt changed a bit.
  20. this is great.why have i not heard of this until now? time to bust out the credit card
  21. thanks for all the suggestions.im looking into all of them
  22. awesome.this is now on my bucket list.
