I just did a part search at autozone for the pump just to see the difference. I got the replacement delphi for 288.69 and autozone only has a cheap airtex brand for 249.00 so wouldn't have been Any savings for me. Unless I paid the 400.00

I wasn't shocked that they would give me a different price each time but 400.00 and then 288.69!? Over 100.00! The difference is insanity.

Ya sounds like I might start doing the same thing if it's going to be that big if a difference.but then I'd still have to figure in gas to see if those trips are worth it in the long run.

The other day the fuel pump went on my truck,I got home by banging it with a hammer. So I call a parts store for a price on the fuel pump.the guy tells me it's listed at 566.00 but for me it will be 400.00 mmmk so I call parts source and they tell me it's 469.00 A day goes by and I decide to call that part store again to make sure the part is in stock before I head down, different guy on the phone tells it's listed at just over 500.00 but it will be 288.69 ...oh! So he takes my name I head on over and tell them I spoke to so and so about a fuel pump. He looks my name up on his comp and says ya here you are. So I get an online fuel filter as well (2 birds 1 stone) after taxes I still saved about 112.00 then if I were to have gone a day earlier. I remember a friend who used to pickup wholesale parts for delivery to garages telling me how insane markups were and told me a 10.00 bolt was about 100.00 by the time it hit the customer. Its just insane how much markup and profit most of these places get. All for a made in china chunk of plastic with a 2 dollar wire harness.

The way I see it is if you want to Save gas towing go with a v8 because it will take less effort to do so. Want to save gas in town with out towing go 4 or 6 cyl. So the question is which do you do most often? You said earlier you go short distances so I'd just go with the smaller engine. I wouldn't over look GM SUVs or trucks, they've been doing this a long time and all of mine have been great. My 93 full-size had just over 500,000km on her before I sold it. It's worth looking into all options and most companies.

My Jimmy has been an awesome workhorse with close to 300,000k on her but she is just a pig on gas.

ive often wondered,what do they do with the fish when they drain these ponds? ive had a few favourite local spots drained over the years and houses and condos put on top,but i never hear what happens or how its done. i just hate how rapid these cookie cutter condos and homes are springing up.

I was told to never use pressure treated wood because the copper or whatever in it eats away and corrodes the aluminum.

You all assume it's fishermen who do this, while I'm sure some empty out their trucks, most of the time it's not fishermen, it's people who see a hole to back up their cars and trucks and dump n run.

Don't forget about the new accords that are burning oil like crazy and Honda are telling customers now that it's ok if they burn a liter of oil every 5k, everyday the old man is tearing the motors apart and replacing pistons and rings on cars not even a few months old. And yes they have been hiding many issues for many years. But the civic over all are pretty reliable

if your going to be doing any heavy hauling or heavy off roading stay away. im not going to get into here because honda owners will get bent out of shape.but ill tell you that honda suv and trucks are not all that tough if you plan on any type of abuse. my sources are father and a family friend who are both honda mechanics,both drive honda cars,wont buy honda trucks. but for eveyday light use,go right ahead.

2 months of playoffs is what makes the stanley cup the hardest trophy to win in sports. i used to watch most sports growing up,loved baseball but then i actually went to two games....ZzZzzZzzZZzzzZ what a snooze fest! havent watched a game since. although i later found out watching an episode of the simpsons,my problem was i watched it sober. baseball is fun to play boring to watch.

I had this name e-mail me! the odd part was,i was selling tires and they didnt like the idea of me setting a meeting place.they then e-mailed me using another name using the same lousy grammar ect. by the end of it all,they used 4 or 5 different e-mails all using arab sounding names and all trying to play one against the other. i had fun messing around with them tho.
