  1. im heading to balsam lake this weekend for a few hours. im hoping for bass, musky and pike. how is the pike fishing in that lake? any advice would be great. is there a free public launch?
  2. i have them both and i dont see the problem with the super slick? i like them both.
  3. i signed up for the 6 month one,so far its been hit and miss for me.but i guess it all depends on what lures you already have or have too much of.so far my boxes have been one hard bait 2 or 3 packs of sample plastics and 2 hooks and weedless jigs.ive had other things but thats what i usually get.
  4. i know im probably in the minority here ,but i miss the day me and a buddy can grab a 6 pack and enjoy the day fishing without issues.
  5. like i said, the average is 13-16 an hour local work. there are always the exceptions like dump, concrete, fuel, havac ect. but not too many people are lucky enough to snag a job like that right out of school.there is way too much competition out there, also driving dump or concrete you will be laid off for the winter unless your one of the 3 or 4 old timers who have been with the company for many years.most of them try to plow or salt trucks for the winter. also your location factors in as well.im lucky enough where i have decent options but ive also have 10 years into this with a clean record and CVOR, i personally wouldnt recommend this to anyone unless they already have a foot in the door thru family or friends,
  6. huge downgrade. there are so many drivers looking for work that they've lowered all the wages.i have had my ACZ for about 10 years now and unless you do long haul,a good paying local job is slim pickings.the average wage for a d-z local driver and that usually includes some heavy labour is 13-16.00 an hour. unless youre looking to be a garbage or recycling truck driver, you'll have a hard time getting work locally.
  7. political correctness will be the DEATH of n.america. y'all should know better to comment on any thread thats religious, political or anything to do with nets or white buckets.it always ends up like this one. having an opinion will always offend someone.always.
  8. cool. i also picked up a 20hp 4 stroke,electric start yammy at bay city about a month ago.......also for a 14' tinny lol
  9. no matter what happens nothing will change.you all know this,
  10. i guess bass fishing will never be the same now eh? lol
  11. WoW, im very jealous.my dream is to catch one that large.
  12. pigeon is good for muskies, good luck.
  13. go get it,dont pay. jobs incomplete, and you were told to get it. forget-them.
  14. i was told i f i did that id have to send the info to navionics and whenever they get around to it,it will show up on the update. i really dont have that time.
  15. awesome pics. love the flask in pic 2 LOL
  16. only had a few min to get out to the garage but it seems that was the problem. i went onto humminbirds website, downloaded an update onto an SD card, put it into the unit,it took the info in a matter of 5 seconds.I put the navionics card in and i dont get the "no new data" message anymore. i havent had time to really go thru the unit but everything seems on the up n up. so to anyone with a FF,you should check the website for updates, they add options and fix bugs.
  17. I talked to navionics yesterday.after going thru my unit they say the unit needs to be updated to a 6.0 version (mine is at 5.8020). so today i have to buy a new sd card and upload the update on it from humminbirds website then try again. should know at some point today.
  18. i found the compatibility page on the navionics page,it has my model on there listed as 587 ci hd mine is 587 ci hd with down imagining but i dont think that should really matter.i'll pop the chip back into the computer tonight and try again. i thought id update just incase someone here has had the same issues and can help.
  19. when i was setting up my account on navionics website i remember it asked select brand,i did (humminbird) select series (500) so id assume it should work.im trying to google if anyone has my model with the plus card,no luck yet. i might have to call the store to see what they say about it. im fairly sure ive done everything correctly.
