Thanks Moosebunk! Its actually a funny story... Earlier in the summer I had gone up North on a trip of a lifetime fishing giant Northern Pike in NWT and had broke my PB over and over. The funny part of the story is that weeks after i return, I catch my first Ontario pike over 40".
  3. Nice fish! Even better photography!

Thanks Blair. Yes, actually I have. Been out to a few back lakes after some pike, and was able to catch a limit of walleye on Nosbonsing last weekend. Everywhere I went had a good solid 5". That is exactly right! A beaver will hear running water from quite a distance. Their instinct is to stop the flow immediately. I currently do not have my own trap line. I have been working with land owners that have troublesome beavers. They can be very destructive, especially in a year with lots of water. I am currently seeking someone who is looking for a helper, preferably on a trap line close to the North Bay area. If anyone might know someone, feel free to let me know.
  6. Great video! Very well made! Consider me subscribed.
  7. Great stories! This one I've done many times.... After changing baits or retying, I throw the bait into the water. As I watch it sink I realize that I forgot to tie it onto the line. Lost countless jigs / spinnerbaits / worms in this way. Even lost a brand new "freshly out of the package" musky bait doing this..... Will most likely do it again too
  8. Well being stuck between hunting season and ice fishing season, I found that going through some of the pictures and videos i have accumulated over the summer months really fun. Some of these memories I have already forgotten about. I have always been one to take lots of pictures, and with the addition of a Go Pro to my collection, it has been a blast. Here are just a couple of the vids I have recently made. Check out my You Tube channel for more. Thanks for watching, now come on ice! Fishing Trapping Hunting Big Pike
  9. I would find out what kind of "work" he had done. Regular maintenance? Or was it more serious?
  10. Hey BassMan, I have a 2007 Honda 30 HP 4 Stroke BF. I have had absolutely zero issues with it thus far. *knock on wood* I run it on a 16' Lund and get about 25 mph. Mind you have have it fully loaded most of the time. It has never let me down. Very little maintenance. To store it I simply run some stabil through it on my last trip out, and drain the gear oil just in case water has entered, which it never has. Then replace the motor oil in the spring. This year I changed the fuel filter for the first time, and it was barely dirty. Always starts up perfect in the spring. Like others have mentioned, its amazing on fuel!!!! If the motor is in great shape and the price is right, I'd say go for it! Oh and it runs very quiet too! Goodluck
  11. Great! Thanks for the tips guys! I will go with antifreeze instead.
  12. Just a quick question...Someone suggested I run a bit of windshield washing fluid through my live wells and bilge pump to avoid any issues with freezing as I store my boat in an unheated garage all winter. Has anyone ever done this? I know it would probably do the trick just fine, but I was worried the chemicals may deteriorate any rubber seal/gaskets etc that may be withing the pump or system. Any tips or suggestions?
  13. Great to see a young one hammer a nice ski! Definitely 40" +
  14. As I mentioned it was caught on bass gear, so she put up a good fight. Several line peeling drags later she tired out a bit and with one quick grab by yours truly she was in the boat. Quick pic, followed by a perfect release.
  15. Meh, not really. I know it wasn't a record by any means, and whether its 48 or 52 dosen't change the fact that it was a great fish.
  16. Definitely a real surprise catch! Even though he had it hooked on the end of his line, the pressure was on me to grab the beast, our little bass net was waaaay under sized. lol Got her on the first grab! haha
  17. Good eye Bill! Yes it was taken with a GoPro, so you do get a bit of embellishment, but none the less she was real fat and a true trophy. Hope to catch her again someday hahaha Would have liked to get it on film, but we caught it 5 minutes into our day, hadn't had the chance to setup the camera yet and FISH ON.
  18. Unfortunate no measurement. I would put it at roughly 50" give or take an inch or two. But was she ever FAT!
