Driving from Toronto to Montreal and back on the weekend I found that the prices in the GTA are much higher than outside the GTA. In Napanee the price was a few cents cheaper. I stopped in Port hope and found the price about 10 cents cheaper. The prices are so inflated in the GTA that they were only a few cents cheaper than the GTA.

I have not seen the Habs play in Montreal since I moved to Toronto. While its fun to watch the Leafs lose at home the electricity of an amped up home crowd is unreal. I miss the forum though.

We had our our chi at the animal hospital a month or so ago. We have insurance, so it could have been worse. For us the peace of mind is worth it.

I think there's something about the cup coming back to Canada that makes me want to cheer on Canadian teams. As a country we carry the NHL. I would love to see the cup come home to Canadian soil even if the leafs won it. I guess it's misplaced patriotism on my part.

Suban is a cocky guy, but only someone with a hate on would take this quote and misconstrue it as PK comparing himself to possibly the greatest player to ever play the game. I was referring to you comparing Suban to Colton Orr. The announcer were mentioning Bobby or in the broadcast thursday night, and I think that is a rediculous concept. Players should only be compared to other players, if ever, after they have retired. But you saying that Colton Orr and Suban are similar players is the dumbest post I have read I a while.

That may go down as oneof the dumbest posts ever. He's no Bobby Orr but he is definitely a talented player.

It is fun to watch. Boston is going to come out firing on all cylinders next game. If the Habs can win game 3 they are setting themselves up for a long playoff run. I hope that the coaching staff and the players get that message and play that way. If they can put the Bruins away in 4 or 5 games they have a chance to win a second round series. I think they need the rest after all the injuries this year. I'm going to be in Montreal on Friday so I'd love to get out and watch a game but I'd take a sweep as a consolation.

You are totally missing my point, but that is not shocking. My point has been made and reinforced. We have a difference of opinion. I would just like you to think about how the owners of the leafs would react if the ACC did not sell out every day, or if merchandise sales fell off. I'd be willing to wager that they might change their direction. I also must say that I am highly suspicious of people who are blindly devoted to a cause. I find that their judgement becomes suspect. Chance, I think you may be experiencing this.

As it stands now Richards has flat out said that said that he will not sign with the leafs. I doubt whether Crosby would want to play for Toronto as well. While most teams need to make the playoffs consistently in order to make money, the leafs are not in that situation. I think that sheep comment was a bit too close to home for you. The fact is that the maple leafs as an organization have less incentive to win because they can count on leaf nation turning out in droves to support the team win, lose or draw. If you want to blame anyone for the mismanagement of the leafs it is the fans. Having said that the leafs finally look like they are on the rebound. It's just a shame that it took so long.

Don't blame the teachers union. Blame to die hard sheep who support the team no matter what the result. I'm not saying that a single owner that wanted to win above all would not make a difference, but for 1.3 billion who is going to do that. The facts are that the team makes boat loads of money whether they win or lose. If Leaf fans were more lake Hab fans (who almost boycott the team when they suck) than there would be more incentive to win. Basically all die hard Leaf fans only have themselves to blame for the pathetic results of their team. That is a tough pill to swallow.

I got the inspection done today. Everything checked out pretty well. There are a few small things that need to be done, but nothing major. The home inspector, Carl, was a nice dude, very personable and helpful. He did a great job. All I have to do now is pay the rest of the deposit and hope to maximize the price on my condo.

I have a 9525. Haven't gotten a chance to use it yet, but love the look of it. After reading the tackle tour review I was thinking about matching it with a pinnacle. Was also thinking about a cumara 6"8" dropshot rod. The reel is so light you'll have to spend a bit on a rod light enough to match it up properly.

Interesting view on home ownership. I am pretty sure that we are not overpaying, but the home inspection will be able to shed some light on that issue. Similar houses in the area were going for 60k+ more than we are paying. I'm guessing that the lack of staging in the house, and the fact that there had not been a lot of work done on it recently explains part of it. The way I see it the wiring, plumbing and roof are all new. These are huge expenses and more valuable than new flooring or updated appliances. We saved a lot of money which will allow us to finish the house the way we want it, without having to invest in major fixes on the property.
