Never seen that before, on any fish. Very interesting. Someone will know what it is.. I know.. He was cooking one of the Delicio Pizzas and couldn't take his eyes away from the oven window..
  3. Now there's a fun drinking game for the backyard! Who knew two golf balls tied together with a foot or two of string between them, and a few sticks, would be so fun!
  4. Nice catch man. Trippy picture!
  5. Ya, this is a great site. I use it all the time. So does the marina that I buy my parts at. Makes is easy for us to talk the same language when ordering parts. Thanks for sharing the link..
  6. I fish around there quit a bit. Caught a few walleye in some of the inland lakes this winter. No real good advice on shore fishing spots, as when ever I'm there it's either hardwater, or I have my boat. Like previously mentioned, talk to some of the locals. Mostly a friendly bunch up there. Someone will point you in the right direction. You can rent a canoe at Suntrail Outfitters in Hepworth. Or there's a few places right in Tobermory to rent canoes. I'm not sure if the place right in Tobermory will be open yet though. The waters up there will be mighty cold this time of year. Be carefull.
  7. Wow. I don't think many of us saw this coming. I certainly didn't I guess he wasn't one to complain.. Very upset to here this. I hope his family stays stong though this hard time. My condolenses to them.
  8. My nahbour is a horder. He has a wood pile a mile high, and doesn't mind that I chip away at it. I guess I lucked out in that department. Before he offered though, I used to grab free skids all the time.
  9. Perfect.. thanks Guys. The bolt kit I bought from P.A. said they where lock nuts, so I assumed i didn't have to torque them down tight. I just wanted to check with someone who has done it before. Thanks for the info. Hopefully I'll be out perchin on evening next week!
  10. Thanks guys, It's not the u-bolts I'm worried about. It's the shackle bolts that hold the springs to the trailer. I'll keep searching. I'm sure the magic number is out there somewhere.
  11. Mornin, I've be spending my free time in the past two week rebuilding my boat trailer. And this morning I'm putting it all back together. Does anyone know what the torque spec is for the shackle bolts on my leaf springs. I haven't been able to find the exact number through web research. I'm assuming if they are to tight, the trailer might creak, or bounce around. Any help, or maybe a link to a helpful website, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
  12. I think i saw you launching at Tiffin on my way into work.. Your the second person this year to launch from there, that I've seen, and I drive by there at least 6 times a day.. I've hit the shore twice this week by the marina with a bit of luck. Bitting "light" is an understatement! Thanks for the report. I think I'll head out one day next week once my trailer is re-built.
  13. Not to many spots in that 2hr range where you would be able to park a camper trailer, and have access to a lake. Not without pissing off some cottagers anyways. Good luck to ya though. I'm a crown land camping guy myself, but I boat into almost all of my campsites. If you can park the car, and access campsite by boat, that opens up a ton of spots.
  14. Is that plutonium in your back pocket?
  15. When get some free time, I'm going to give him a make-over.
  16. Here's where I spend 60 hours a week.
  17. Wouldn't want that landing on my head.. Anyone catch Canada in the Rough this weekend. Pigeon getting smashed in the face with that snow goose was hillarious!!
  18. I Just went for a 10k jog with this blaring in my ears.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bv3xM3v4-rI

Good stuff man. I always enjoy your pictures.
  21. With all the talk about sportspal canoes.. I thought I would mention. There's a guy in Barrie selling a square back sportspal. I stopped by yesterday to look at it. Needs a little work. Guy's asking $550. Seems like a decent price.
  22. I've run all sorts of motors on the side my canoe. If your canoe is stable, then there's no real issues with small gas motors as far as stability. It all depends on what kind of canoe your running, and how stable it is. I've never been in a sports pal before, so I can't comment on stability. With a 2hp, any canoe will move along nicely. On a side note...I have seen an intoxicated guy run a 6hp motor on the side of a sports pal. The side mount transom he made wasn't much more then a 2x4, and some clamps. Plained out really well. Untill the transom snapped in half, and the motor took off flying. The drunk guy didn't let go of the motor though. Ended up landing in the canoe ahead of him, prop spinning at WOT, foam flying.. Crazy.. Good thing he was alone in the canoe..
  23. If we're going to get into finger picking. Here's one of Canada's best.. Don Ross. This guy is truely an increadible gutiar player. Mind blowing really.
  24. Haha.. maybe in 20 years..
