  1. Welcome aboard Hoppy. I fish out of Alcona almost every weekend. Might see you out there this winter!
  2. Thats Steve right? or is this Sir Catch alot? I was going to PM him.. Thanks Brian!
  3. I was thinking the same thing. Kawartha eyes one day, Simcoe smallies for another, Lake O salmon/trout. Maybe go for some Muskies one day too Show these guys what Ontario fishin is all about eh! Feel free to PM some good guides in these areas.
  4. I think he's leaning toward Simcoe, and area. Maybe Lake O. Thanks for the links so far guys!
  5. I need some advice. I have a very big customer at work that loves fishing. He’s coming up to Ontario the last week of July for a fishing trip with his family. Here are the details: 1 week cottage / resort rental Looking for around $1000 a week Last week in July 1-2 hours from Toronto (His wife and daughter want to shop..) Fishing must be good He’ll either want to rent a boat, or be taken out by a guide. I’m sure he’s open to options. Does anyone know of some good places that fit that above criteria? I’m hoping for some comments from people with first hand experience. I want this guy and his family to have a great time. I would really like to get a list of places for him to choose from. Any thoughts??
  6. My first trip to LoB in the winter. What a difference compared to Simcoe. It was to quiet and peaceful. Ended the day with two small Lakers. Both about the same size. Weighed one, and it was 1 lb 11oz. Great for the table. Caught one on minnows, and the other on a large silver Williams with a pearl on the hook. It was such a nice day out there. Got a bit of a tan. Here's me with my two My fishin partner Steve with his And out means of transportation for the day! Thanks for showing me that spot Northque! We'll have to hit it again this year.
  7. Thanks for posting these pics man. Thankfully it wasn't one of those -20° days eh!
  8. No offence, but when I first read this post, i thought it was a joke. Sure. You're cat Fluffy is going to have to adjust to it's new owners. But atleast it's still alive right.. I don't want to sound harsh, But animals do not have the same feelings as humans.
  9. I'd really like to fish 6-mile with Bigugli one day.. I think that would be a great day on the water!
  10. Bump.. Northque and a few of us are heading up this weekend.. Any info would be great! I'm guessing there's going to be atleast a foot of slush and snow ontop. Bringin the snowshoes..
  11. Right on. Thanks. Do you work for CP?
  12. This was posted here a few months back.. I remembered it so i did good, but I still got one wrong..
  13. I've never fished with anyone from the board. By I am looking forward to fishing with all the guys at the Nip G2G.. I have met a few guys out and about, but never fished with any of em.. (Brian, and Fisherman..)
  14. First they where saying the 90 cars derailed and colided with a second train. Latest i herd was that only 21 cars derail, and side swipped some cars on a train parked adjadcent to the derailed train. Still though. that's only a few minutes south of my cottage. Hope knowone was injured. http://news.sympatico.ctv.ca/home/emergency_crews_on_scene_of_major_train_derailment/84abc6f4 http://www.cbc.ca/canada/toronto/story/2011/01/26/severn-derailment-cp636.html
  15. I was thinking it's more like what happens when you catch a whitefish on Lake Simcoe. All the people with the binoculars pack up their gear, and come running at you like zombies!
  16. I buddy just e-mailed this to me. No sure if it's an old video. First time I've seen it. Sure are a lot of people, and not a lot of fish! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AtCSDST-IDk
  17. I talked to one of my buddies who dives at BBP. According to him, which may not be the most credible info. He tells me that there is a resident who lives very close to the public docks, who doesn't feel divers should be using the public dock. I guess boating only?? Supposedly this guy is a big lawyer from the city.. A dive shop owner from the city has had enough of this guys giving him grief for using the dock. So I guess, as of lately, this resident lawyer, and dive shop owner have been going at it on a regular basis. May not be true, or story maybe be one-sided.. Just passing on what I herd.. Fuel for the fire right.
  18. Any specific jigs I should bring? I have lots of small jig heads for perch. And lots of Williams, badboys, swedish pimples, etc.. for Simcoe whitefish.. What else should I bring?
  19. Hahaha.. Thanks for posting this Aaron. The e-mail mentioned they closed the parking lot because of Suba divers. I know lots of guys who scuba dive in the area. I wonder why residents don't want them around.. Seems a littel weird to me
  20. Nice report man! I've always wanted to try the one day trip from barrie to quinte. After reading this report, I think I'll make it a weekend event! Thanks for sharing!
  21. You see anyone out at Long Shoal? Plan on heading out next weekend. I would imagine the ice will be plenty for by then.
  22. Good eye. It's actually an bravo Transporter, short track. I just build a storage box for the back, so it looks like a trapper. I wish it was a trapper! Good working sled, until you fill the engine compartment with snow, then.. Not so much..
  23. It's been a weird start to the season. That's for sure. We managed 2 today between my fishing buddy and I. Once we get a bit more ice, and can move out into the middle a little more, things will get better.
  24. Nice painting Bushart! I was a hired hand on a farm for 5 years growing up. The last wagon of the day, we would always stack as high as we could. The next moring we would pile it in the barn when it was still cool from the night before. I use to love the work out, but couldn't stand the itch!
  25. I knew someone was going to say that.
