  1. It's close one for me. Either the Mepps Aglia, or a small Panther Martin. The size all depends on the situation.
  2. Good on ya Nancy! Onother reason to be proud of this comunity.
  3. Good times good times. Thanks for the report!
  4. There used to be a place to park and lauch onto the lower part of the Gibson River, down river from the 400. But last I herd it was gatted up for cottagers only, and they have started ticketing people who park there. If the waters`s to high, I`ll just fish Gibson Lake. Never fished it in the spring, could be a good time.
  5. Half the guys who complain about OFC and leave never to return.. Always end up returning in a few months or a year.
  6. Very well articulated Wayne. That's what I was trying to say..
  7. Note to self.. Never by a boat from Cast-Away..
  8. Congrets man. Sounds like a beuty bird!
  9. Thanks Guys, I ran my 14' tinner down there in Sept last year. I had to walk it back up the channel under the 400 with my motor out of the water. Same as the other rapids further down. If the water level is to high, I won't be able to pull her back up. Going down is fine, but coming back will probly be an issue by the sounds of it.
  10. Sounds like a great weekend. I wish I had a fire keeping me warm on the creek Sat morning at 4:00am in the rain...
  11. Did you notice any cracking before you put your stiffener plate on? Or only bowing in the transom. If there was cracking before you put that homemade stiffener plate on, then you may have a case with Polarcraft. IMO, it's that homemade stiffener plate that caused the big cracks in those paticular areas, but it's hard to tell from the pictures. The way it's gusseted down looks a little suspicious. Seems to be pulling on places that weren't designed to be pulled on. Hense the cracks right near the end of the gusset plate. Like I said, it's hard to tell from the pics exactly where the cracks are.
  12. I'm gunna be in the Gibson Lake area May 24 weekend. I've never been on the lake that early in the season. Does anyone know what the water levels are usually like that time of year? I'd like to take the river down under the 400, but I'm not sure how fast the water will be moving through there. Might be tough. Any details would be great. Thanks!
  13. Out all morning. Didn't hear one goble. Didn't even here another gun shot all day. I alway here atleast 10 other gun shots in the morning. Lots of hunters cars parked at the usual spots.. Something is up with the area I hunt
  14. Wow guys.. That an increadible thing you all did. Makes me proud to be a part of this comunity. Kudos to all involved.
  15. It aint about the perch. It's about the $$$ Looks like a beautifull day on the water!
  16. I got married almost 4 years ago. I weighed 170 lbs. That was the peak of my weight loss on an Aitkins type diet.. Gained all the weight back +20 pounds.. up to 230 in about 3 years. Brutal.. Hey, thanks for all the comments guys. I hope little things like this can inspire others in my situation to do the same. Summers comin, gotta look good with the shirt off trolling by hooters for spring pike!
  17. Haha.. I'm the only one looking at the Camera. Nice looking Camera by the way.. Are you a profesional photographer? I look like a deer caught in the headlights! Good stuff..
  18. There's been lots of recent pics of you floating around. Easily recognizable guy. Cudz too, but I never got a chance to say hi to him.
  19. I hear ya. I think the extra stress helped my with the weight loss, so I can't really complain!
  20. Thanks for posting the pics Rob. It was nice meeting you last night. I saw you snapping some pics of the crowd, and I was sure I had some retarded looking expressions on my face in some of them. Funny thing last night. JP asked the crowd if anyone ever goes out on Simcoe and always expects to catch a fish, every time (speaking about Bass specifically). Not expecting anyone to raise their hand. And iN a very subtle way, Cudz raises his hand just a little..
  21. Well, on Jan 1 I tipped the scales at 227.5 lbs. My goal was to drop 30 lbs by the May 24 weekend. This morning (after a healthy sub for dinner last night courtesy of Dave!) I weighed in at 197. I was able to achieve my goal 1 month early! I've been on crazy diets before, and gained all the weight back. This time, there was no "real" diet. I just stopped over eating, reduced my alcohol consumption by about 50%, and run twice a week. I've ran over 100kms this year. Anyone else hit their resolution goals this year? I would love to hear others sucess stories too.
  22. Poor guy has to pay his fines to the MNR..
  23. We just meeting inside the theatre? I'll be there right at 6, see you then. For those who don't know, there aint much free parking at Georgian College. Bring some change.
