  1. Holy Crap, nice pickerel!
  2. I haven't been successful with the bait, but I don't think I've done it justice, so like I said, I'll readjust my pattern and hopefully turn it into more of a weapon. Good of you to speak about them, JP, and yup, those are pretty good hooks. The new baits in the lineup look amazing!
  3. If you decide you hate it, throw it my way. It'll be a reel that'll outlast you, I bet. A Pluton is different enough that I might consider one as a special treat to myself one day.
  4. Based on my own experience, there's not much you can do to discourage him from staying where he's set up shop. You have to remove him permanently.
  5. Nicest-looking under-performing lure I've ever used, and I'm determined to turn that around this year. I have the large medium-dive perch.
  6. Incredible report, Thanks for all the detail!
  7. I've noticed: - We're mostly exempt from debates over which World Record Organization is credible, thank goodness. - Someone will recognize that spot. - someone will recognize that spot, even with a blurred background. - someone will object to you talking about that spot, but when you do, the reports here are better than a lot of stuff you see in magazines. - the gang here know a lot about how to find a good deal on a boat, or anything else, for that matter. - There are enough pros on this board to fill a tournament - TJ seems to lead some kind of charmed life - It actually is something of a community
  8. I'll bump into you in the Mass. another weekend, then. Beautiful sticks, enjoy! Chris
  9. Are you going to break those in Moon River opening weekend, Solo?
  10. I don't use a low profile for muskies, but if I did, I'd probably check out an Abu Revo Toro or Winch.
  11. Ben, that was fun, but what, you have a big poker game to play or something?
  12. Great bunch of videos. Elias must have felt wired through the whole thing!
  13. This will be the first year I'll be using Flouro for leaders. I've been using commercial wire or my own titanium leaders, but will do more finesse-type fishing this year, as opposed to my usual jerk bait habit. I'd tie direct for bass, but where I fish, you're as likely to catch a toothy critter as well, so I want to prevent bite-offs, and hopefully have something less-visible when using Senkos and the like. Looking forward to seeing how it works.
  14. BTW, Jedi, I haven't bought one yet, but am going to check out the Pflueger Arbor. Same price range, about $75-$80, and braid-specific. Might be a good alternative for you. Arbor
  15. No problem, TJ; seems to work, anyway!
  16. I have a President and a Trion, both good value.
  17. Great Vid! It looked like he got off at first, what with those two hooks hanging in front of the camera.... TJ, what pattern was that believer?
  18. The more I pay,the faster I break or lose them. I have a $20 pair of Ryders that are doing the job quite nicely at the moment. They're polarized, which you need.
  19. Lolz, a classic!
  20. Solo, May 1st and the Moon Delta is still a long way off, quit teasing!
  21. Lolz, that's pretty funny! Wonder if it was the same ad agency??
  22. Been there, done that. I'll take the boat!
  23. My choices are aprez fishing for sure. On the water; I have enough on my hands just trying to get something to the net. Hey Farmer, I hope you're not listening to that gawdawful new country that the marketing departments hack together.....
  24. Cool, thanks. I'm looking forward to May 1st, but starting to wonder what things are going to look like.
  25. Dan, do you have a handle on how much lower the water is than normal? All these pics and such is pretty worrisome..... Thanks, Chris
