  1. Some good stuff there.I've always been partial to the Palomar, simply because it's so easy to tie.
  2. Those are some cool looking pike, Hauki!
  3. I can never sleep before a trip. Once I'm a way, I'm always up with the birds. I don't even know when I'm going north next, but I wish I could fast-forward and go fishing right now.....
  4. I think he drowned while noodling!
  5. Victor, Good Evening! Interesting photos, for sure! Please keep us up, would love to see more. BB
  6. I realize he's downrigging, wondering how much weight he's using.
  7. Looks like a great day, great fish! I'm not a salmon guy; what weight do you use to get to that depth, FM?
  8. Gosh, what a nightmare for Boston. Well, it'll still be interesting to hear what Grapes has to say......
  9. Bruins and Habs, What a classic match up! Grapes will be beside himself, though and will babble non-stop!
  10. Wow, the cup back in Canada?!?!?
  11. We do Fish Crisp a lot, but I'm a pretty big Uncle Buck's fan, too!
  12. Great looking work; those are sure to hook you up! :clapping:o
  13. My gear is up north, so no photos available at the moment, but looking at GBW's stuff I was reminded of the fact that I dragged about 20 lbs of tackle around the last two weekends, and used a grand total of only about 4 lures!
  14. I was up to the Moon River area on the weekend. Saturday morning we fished for about 20 minutes before being chased in by lightning and a huge thunderstorm. That lasted till about 11, when we got out again, and tried a few proven spots. The fishing was a little on the tough side post-storm, but we got a few eaters. We braved some more rain, and were rewarded a a few 30 inchers. Sunday, as we were heading up the channel, we were greeted by the OPP and MNR CO, who were cruising the area checking boats and requisite licenses and cards. The guys were great, very friendly. The Parry Sound Pike tourney brought a few boats down our way, so we weren't alone on the water, but it certainly wasn't crowded. A little more rain, but not enough to keep us off the water. We covered a lot of water, and had some success, but I would still describe the fishing as tough. After lunch, I lost something massive that I hooked on my light spinning gear while trolling. Massive head shakes managed to spit the #10 x-rap I was using. Never saw the fish. One of our party was fly fishing by himself, and did manage a very beautiful oos 37 in muskie. Gorgeous electric green colour on the fish, which was thick, and very healthy looking. Sunday late afternoon brought better luck, with a couple of 34 inchers, caught on crankbaits, which I used almost all weekend. I'll be up again this weekend, and won't forget the camera this time!
  15. Wow. I guess that's why they're the Habs!
  16. gb, I know the area well, I'll be interested to see if the fish are where they usually are this time of year, looking forward to finding them that's for sure!
  17. I'm just packing my gear up to get out of town and head up into the Moon River basin. I'll be opening up a buddy's cottage for him on Friday and then I'll wet a line for the first time in 2010 starting Saturday. Couldn't happen any sooner! It'll be interesting to see what the water levels are like on Georgian Bay, and where the pike are, what with the early spring and all. Anyone else heading north this weekend? Chris
  18. Full marks to the Habs, can't wait for game 7. I hope the Habs win just so I can see the disappointment on Bettman's face!
  19. I'm cool with that. Beer me.
  20. It tears you up, please pardon the irony. I've been there with my dogs, and have been seen my young sons through it with their pets. It's hard to say goodbye; they give so much.
  21. The wife's got a little wood to split, eh T.J.?
  22. Bite's a little off?
  23. Good grief, nice to see all that wildlife! Great shots, beautiful fish guys!
  24. Didn't know this guy before, so I'm liking the medium as much as the message!
