just sent you a private message. i drag a fair amount of gear but nothing i can't really handle myself. I just don't find it worth the hassle if i am solo. I take out a hut and heater and propane tank but its pretty mobile on the ski rig that i have.

Heading home now. Salty hasn't messaged me. Anyone else up for going message me here or pm otherwise I will probably just go into work tomorrow....

My brother-in-law jus told me now he doesn't want to go for the day. As its a bit of a hike I want to go for pretty much the whole day. Salty if you want to partner up let me know. I don't really want to drag the hut and all my gear out just for me.

Planning on heading out tomorrow morning. Do you think it will be good to go. I am just walking on so I'm sure there will still be lots of ice for that but will the edges to get on be screwed after all this rain? Just don't want to waste a couple hours driving up there if we cant even get on the ice. Thanks, AA

My buddy and I are heading out of oro tomorrow but probably won't be hitting the lake til about 9:30 or maybe a bit later. Unfortunately it is only a two-man hut so no room to all fish together. Feel free to pop by and say hi if you see us though. I will be the one in the green snowboarding gear (plaid type pants) and blue plaid/fur hat dragging my clam 5600 on a homemade ski rig. -Alphaalpha (Adam).

Looks like you had an awesome day. Too bad about the huge one that got away but it gives you a good reason to go back out to try to get him next time!

Quite honestly it sounds like a dirty cash grab to me. It's purpose is most certainly to pay for/offset the costs of the wedding. To cancel the reception and do a destination wedding and still have a stag is quite unethical in my opinion. I guess I could see that someone might throw one just because it is part of the wedding experience and yes they are lots of fun. Even if you didn't really NEED the money. But to do this and then ask people to spend an arm and leg as well as their own vacation time to come to your destination wedding is about as ugly a thing to do for a wedding as I can think of.

Great work on a nice laker! I am kinda in the same boat waiting to get my first laker still. Got out 4 times last year but didn't have any electronics. This year i have a finder but have only been out once (I can definitely tell the finder will make all the difference after watching a few follows and getting a couple bites). Hopefully on my next outing i will land one

Qutie honestly if he was just mildly harassing me or if maybe the incident was still fresh and that night at the bar he was drunk I would probably let it go. To me the line is messing with my family. Having pulled your wife over for no reason and harassing her I would certainly say bring it to the attention of his superiors. More formally this time. And like others have said document every single last thing and if you can get some hard evidence. They won't be able to just ignore it and if you aren't satisfied with the result then go to the media. Whatever you decide to do I hope it works out for you and he gets what he deserves.

Great report! That ski set-up is very similar to one i made for my rig last year except i have a couple vertical bars to keep the hut centered (i don't use any bungies). Definately saves tons of effort hauling the gear out. The fish may have been small but spending time catching any fish is still better than dealing with the stink of skunk. All the best with your treatment and I hope you have a quick recovery!
