  1. Congrats Cliff! That's certainly a great day out for ya.
  2. Aww man, you must be so embarassed to be holding that walleye when you wanted musky. lol What a kawartha beast!
  3. No matter what the exact length, it's a beauty! Congrats!
  4. Headed out with my boss today out of St Williams. From 10 - 2 we never caught a fish besides a couple sunfish, moved around and finally found a little crater that was full of decent perch. Managed 25 in the pail at an average of 10 inches a piece. Only 6 throwback dinks and big fish of the day was 14 inches. Fish hit from about 2 til 5PM. Almost all of them were caught on minnows but a few fell to worms when we ran out of minnows. No more perch for me now til ice up. Bigger things on the agenda!
  5. If by "Simcoe area" you mean the town of Simcoe, shoot Sleded a PM. He just got into hunting and is looking to get out, I'm sure.
  6. Love the pics, some really decent browns there! Congrats!
  7. And I just turned down a trip to Cuba.. if I had only known!
  8. Man, you eat fish every night or what? lol Looks tasty!

    Steel!!

silvio, it's nothing compared to the eastern Lake O tribs. You can have some decent days though.
  10. Yo Johnny, let me know when that's up for sale. I don't need to know model, make, all that crap. I've fished in it!
  11. Ah, so there are no rainbows in Lake O, or walleyes. And no salmon in Lake Erie. gotcha.

    Steel!!

Beauty! Hope I get to hit the lower Grand soon. About the only place I actually enjoy steelheading.
  13. From the dam down to Lake Erie is full of good holes. Try York or the upper reaches of Cayuga.
  14. Pink buzzbaits.. they're like platinum. If you can find them, let me know!
  15. Ah yes, I've tried watering a few cameras. They never grow into bigger, better cameras like I had hoped.
  16. I know tiny creeks around here, some the size of ditches that get good runs of salmon every fall.. why the heck would the Grand, the biggest in the area, seemingly not have a salmon run to speak of. Sure, the odd fish is seen every year, but you'd think there would be the biggest run around on a river that size. Always seemed weird to me.
  17. I'd say the flying hellgramite - the world's first mass produced artificial fishing lure - would be a big one. Balsa floats, Mepps spinners, electric trolling motors, LCD sonar, GPS, underwater cameras.. sheesh.. fish don't stand a chance these days.
  18. Sorry bout the union news dude.. Good stuff on the fishing though. Often when I fish the Grand I catch more suckers on grubs than I do bass!
  19. Hey that's okay, some idiots put marbles in a paintball gun and fired at me in the boat once on a local lake. Called the cops but they were long gone before they showed up. People are just stupid. At least you weren't hurt.
  20. lol, those were my thoughts when opening this thread!
  21. Good stuff! I'll be out perchin' next Monday with my boss. Glad to hear they're hitting (even though it's in a completely different area)
  22. Looks like fun, despite the 0! At least a pike was caught in your boat, lol. Last tournament I fished we didn't get a BITE! I miss it though. Hopefully next year I can get back in the tournament scene a little bit.
  23. No cell phones at all in the boat should be the next legislation! Think about it, next time the wife wants to call asking when you're coming home, why you're not home, why you didn't rake the leaves etc. you say "sorry honey, I didn't bring my phone. It's the law now."
  24. White bucket is #1 IMO
  25. No Template! all freehand
