  1. I'd like to welcome my son Ethan into the world. Born at 10:41am July 4th, weighing 8lbs, 2 oz. And yes, like any great report, there are pics. Life just took on a whole new meaning.
  2. Beauty fish no matter what the weight. Congrats.
  3. Well Greensot came out and picked myself and the wife up for some fun fishing. We didn't know what to expect as we headed to Dover but the night didn't let us down. Not only was the bullhead action intense, lol, I managed to hook into a scrappy sheephead. After that "Sugarpacket" got into a little kitty.. more bullheads, then night wore on and we moved further up river. Next up was Sugarpacket's new personal best channel cat. We didn't weigh it but I estimated it at 8 - 10lbs. It was quite the feat landing it without a net let me tell ya! Congratulations on the new PB !! After that she hooked into a beauty carp, about 10 - 12lbs but it was near impossible to land without a net. After several close attempts at tailing the fish it finally swam away with a new lip piercing. Too bad! It was a great night out at a favourite spot.
  4. It's a lot worse when it DOESNT happen! (as in nothing hits at all)
  5. Great report, though the last pic has to take the cake for disgusting pic of hte year!
  6. I will bring the mp3 player out if I'm fishing alone, especially if it's one of those "sit and wait" styles of fishing, like carp or cat fishing.
  7. Great report. I love Rice Lake! Welcome to OFC!
  8. Black w/blue fleck was working well yesterday. Just about any color we tossed caught fish though. Chartreuse was the least productive. The water had a slight stain but was surprisingly clear considering the area. The fish were sitting at a bend in the river where it got really shallow. Every fish I caught was right behind a rock shoal. They must have been stacked in there.
  9. Well I just finished eating that bass and no worms, tasted great fried in a little Rich Crisp ™ As for where I was fishing well it was near Cayuga. Tons of fish landed but few of respectable size. Oh and the bait of the day was tubes.
  10. My buddy Alex and I headed out on the upper grand to try for some smallmouth and walleye today. Well I rarely keep a bass but today I wanted to take some home. Didn't bring a camera out just our cell phones but i got a pic of big fish of the day right before she met the fillet knife, hegh hegh hegh!!
  11. The top largemouth was something like 4.03lbs and top smallmouth was a little over 5. That's all I remember.. we kinda got bored and went back out to pound the pike for a while, lol Thanks for the comments guys.
  12. http://video.google.ca/videoplay?docid=-6980177851806866993 Check it out! Hope you all enjoy it.
  13. I've dropped 50lbs since September. I dunno about Sleded though, what with his 90% battered rib diet.
  14. Well it was a great day on Long Point Bay. Tons of fish, but nothing huge. Sleded got a nice one just under 3 lbs. When he weighed in at 2:00pm he was at 5th place.. by 4:00 he had been beat out of the leaderboard. Too bad, but a nice fish nonetheless. We got a few pics, mostly video. Sleded's bass pic kinda sucks cuz it was taken with the video cam rather than the digital still cam. Great opener, looking forward to many more days on the water this summer.
  15. I rarely start the day with anything but my trusty black buzzbait.
  16. Well my boss from work and I went out to try our luck at some perch today after the storms. I guess nobody invited the perch. We gave it about 2 hours and managed only a sheephead and a small channel cat for our troubles. It was still good to get a little pull in the line again.. its been a while. Cant wait for bass opener!
  17. Sleded and I will be out there, launching from Port Rowan. Thanks for the money! Muaahahahaha
  18. Funny, last time Sleded and I were in Dunnville we couldnt catch a sheephead for the life of us. Cats by the millions, a limit of walleye.. no sheepies. Heck we were even trying to catch them for a while, lol Did see about a 10lber caught by a shore angler though. That 19lber is humungous!
  19. Awesome! some real beauties.
  20. I've caught WGSF up to and over 2lbs on Long Point Bay. It's like the greatest WGSF fishery in the world, which in turn makes it the greatest fishery in the world, since we all know Rock Bass are kings of the waterways.
  21. Here's a quick little video of Sleded landing a nice Dunnville channel cat a couple weeks ago. Enjoy! http://video.google.ca/videoplay?docid=-4856930080441711317
  22. lol pretty sure we had about 10 videos out before Tracy had done any! Thanks for the kind words guys. Oh yeah no competition there either, Nauti's videos are great entertainment.
  23. A week after opener you will still find smallies in the inner bay. Just look for the crowds, then fish just a little shallower than they are fishing I fish it in my 14ft'er all the time. Like others said just keep a close eye on the weather. If it looks like it's gonna turn nasty, get the heck outta there.
  24. http://video.google.ca/videoplay?docid=-5648130032011034488 Been a long time coming but we finally got a video up. Many more to come once I unload my video cam, lol. This one is tributary catfish. Enjoy!
  25. Beauty!
