I have never fished out of a yak before but I would say it depends if you fish solo or with a partner. I never fish alone so I prefer a canoe since I can have a partner and some gear. If you get a ultralight kevlar canoe it can weigh as little as 40lbs and great for up to 3 people and some gear.

That thing is huge, looks like it can swallow a softball.

Welcome, I was camping there earlier this year and brought along my fishing gear. There is basically no shore fishing opportunities since the lake is very shallow near shore. If you rent a canoe or boat then you might have more luck. I recommend bringing a good pair of hiking boots and hike the trails instead.

I was camping at Tobermory earlier this year, looks like I missed out not stopping by there as well.

I had the minnows and they were great. Didn't like the container it came in.

Thanks for the detailed information about the resort, I'm sure it will help someone's decision in picking a place. The lack of bass and fishing from the dock doesn't go well with me if I was going to pick a resort.

Doesn't look as though there is any trunk space unless the rear seats are folded down. I'm sure its really practical but in terms of looks, it's not going to win any beauty contest.

Hike the northern section of the Bruce trail from your campsite, I'm assuming you will be camping at Cyprus Lake. Some great scenes along the way and lookout points.

Was able to capture some beautiful pictures of this bird while fishing. Poor fella had some fishing line on it as well, which is why it's important to dispose of your line properly.(You can see the line on the 3rd pic, right leg) Can someone help identify it. Thanks
