  1. Good shooting egh. I'm sure your team is glad to have you aboard. Keep at 'em.
  2. DANG !!! DOUBLE DANG !!! Awesome stuff moose dude.
  3. If there was a lot of weight in the back of the boat, I can see it being swamped very easily. The transom seems low and with waves splashing against the back of the boat, water that enters weighs down the boat even more. I'd definitely recommend splash guards and the auto bilge float switch everyone is talking about. You wouldn't want that to happen again, especially in the middle of the lake.
  4. Good to see some reports coming in from open water. Congrats on dad's beauty bow. No walleye, no worries. You gave it a shot. Better than staying home and working on "THE LIST!"
  5. I have a Lowrance LMS300 GPS unit that I bought in the early 90's and still use it today. I'd buy another Lowrance unit if/when the time comes, but I'll still look at and compare other makes. My VHF is a Raymarine mounted 25 watt unit. No complaints, but I do want to replace the antenna. The one I wanted wasn't in stock and I settled for a cheaper unit. I have 2 transom and 2 bow mount electrics, but nothing that would compare to todays high tech models.
  6. Being Canadian just wouldn't be the same without swatting a few skeeters while enjoying the outdoors.
  7. I wasn't out there Lew, but some friends had gone to Deseronto for the walleye opener. One of them called last night to say I didn't miss much. Only 1 fish caught between 5 people (2 boats) and it was in the slot limit, so back it went. There were very few fish caught in the area.
  8. I can't wait for the report Ric. You're killing me . Wish I had more time to play. Go get 'em dude.
  9. Thanks Tom & Dan for your info. Kind of figured the season close at that time. I agree with the season and restrictions. It's definitely a fantastic fishery that needs protection to ensure it remains that way for many years to come. Go get 'em outdoorguy61. Don't forget lots of pics
  10. Nice job on the tackle FinS. Wish I had time to be bored.
  11. Not thinking of fishing at that time of year Tom. Just thought I might stop off to get some info. Does the laker season end at the end of September ?
  12. I'd actually be interested in some info on L. Nipigon as well. Drove by on my way moose hunting, but never had time to stop. Would love to know when the best time for lakers is. Might make a trip too. I'll be waiting for your report outdoorguy61. I'm sure the fishing will be awesome. Have a blast.
  13. Tough time to celebrate anything Brian. Losing a loved relative is hard. Nothing wrong with holding off the celebrations for a bit. My condolences and congradulations.

  15. Yes I'm going fishing tomorrow........in my dreams. Good luck Dave.
  16. Nice carp bud, but still not as ugly as me. Now try and get one as fat as me and you'll have a new record on your hands.

  18. The big boys will soon be tugging on your lines I'm sure. A nice way to spend the day and you caught some fish too.
  19. A great day on the water for you. Those eyes look sweet. Enjoy your meal.
  20. Beauty trout tracker. Congrats on your return to the best fishing in Ontario. L. Ontario is my favourite spot to fish. All species possible and they grow to massive sizes.
