  1. No parts will spring out, it looks very much like my old 1980 vintage 6500. I have a spare spool for mine, I would run 14 XT on it for Salmon/Trout rigging and also had a spare spool loaded with heavy dacron for Muskie back then. Just take a dime and remove the screws with the coin size slots, the end comes off, dump out the spool and slip the other one in and put the end back on. Really wasn't any more difficult than changing a spinning reel.

  3. Not good, just saw Charlotte Harbour on CNN, it is WAY DOWN, all the water is being sucked out, when the eye passes and the winds reverse the storm surge is going to wipe out a lot of property . . This could be worse than Charlie in 2004.
  4. Up early , the track has changed slightly west but not enough to really make any difference. Wife talked with her family in Port Charlotte most of last night , going to be glued to CNN today.
  5. We are in the same boat today , OI, step daughters and grand kiddies are in Port Charlotte. Originally Irma was going up the east coast, then they changed the path to the gulf side, just got an text they are going to relatives in Tampa which would be somewhat better. Charlie was a nailbiter here guess Irma will be the same.

Read up, the effects of climate change pales in comparison to what a repeat of 1859 could do. Several of the large scale power outages of my lifetime are due to these events.   18. The highest grouse populations that I ever experienced actually were in southern Ontario rather than North. IN the 60's and 70's you could expect close to a dozen flushes a hour in the woods in Norfolk County, usually hunted the Crown Land around the St. Williams Tree Nursery. The population started declining in the eighties about the same time as coyotes and turkeys exploded, maybe just a coincidence.

Thanks, eavetrough guy just showed up to make a new downspout, and a run to the side street ditch, corner lot, and patch some siding that had to be removed, a metal gate is being built so we can sit out with the pooches in the evening without their leashes. Good luck with yours, wife and I were really impressed with the result here, the post caps and balusters really made it for us. edit: the metal balusters and the predrilled rails come as a packaged kit I believe.

We just had a deck put out front, I am past my prime as a DYI guy, the new brown pressure treated looks real nice over the green stuff, I think these are the vinyl coated spindles that OI was talking about, and they used special screws for pressure treat, not galv but I think they were zinc phosphate coated from my years in the steel industry. With the high water I can walk out the door and over to Forty Mile Creek below the QEW and get a couple of bows in the spring just like in the 80's when I moved here and the water was high, suckers too if you are so inclined. There was a good run of Chinook and Browns here in the fall back then too, hope they come back too.

  24. Doesn't affect me, pension is in the bank today, first of the month, I'll just put my monthly 40 bucks in the tank for the big monthly trip to Costco and the big city of St Catharines.
