  1. They had that video on CHCH morning news this AM
  2. Sure do miss L.G. Custom Tackle being just up the road since the mid 70's, got spoiled .
  3. With Brook Trout being your top priority , except for Nipigon, pretty much any good lake for them I can think of is not a good mutispecies lake but Brookies only.
  4. For sure, if it was scripted , they couldn't have done it better.
  5. At least you have good taste in music, I first saw Joe back in 2008 at a small venue at Brock University , think the tax put the tickets for my wife and I around a hundred, a year later he was selling out the Royal Albert Hall in London and commanding big bucks for tickets. Out of my snack bracket now.
  6. Wasn't it you that had a 18 Starcraft Mariner before the Superfisherman ?
  7. Actually you can buy guns online in Canada, even restricteds like handguns and Canada Post delivers them to your door, on occasion they have left them outside if you weren't home
  8. Got a new Costco here on the south service road at the Grimsby/Stony Creek border. Tried the gas bar for the first time, almost 10 cents a litre cheaper than at the full service Shell in town, usually get 40 bucks worth and pay cash as we drive very little, 2006 with 76,000 Km on it. There is no option to pay cash , it is either charge or debit , guess I'm old fashioned
  9. OI , I discovered Balsamic Vinegar about a year ago when looking for low cal options for veggies , they all get roasted in the oven now after a toss in Balsamic and Olive Oil and appropriate spices , will never boil a veg or fry a potato again. The stuff is awesome. Cookie sheet covered with a sheet of parchment, no mess clean up too.
  10. or GCD or Billy Bob
  11. The wood panelling looked nice but I am finding the one with the blue header and dark blue print on the white background far less strain on my old eyes.
  12. If the fishing doesn't pan out , I recall a bunch of guys I knew used to go there waterfowl hunting every fall.
  13. Test...........My Pups
  14. Cool, gorgeous fish, I've always found it a bit strange that they can successfully cross them as the Brown Trout is very closely related to the Atlantic Salmon and Brookies are not true trout but a Char. The Splake cross made sense biologically, these not so much.
  15. We had Prem as a kid 60 years ago hated it but still love canned corned beef sandwiches with catsup and horseradish
  16. The winter plumage of even adults is quite a bit lighter and brownish, not at all like the crisp blacks and whites of breeding plumage.
  17. I see juveniles all winter on Lake Ontario along with Oldsquaws and then evil black parasites
  18. When I made the pies at home I just used the bread machine on dough cycle for the crust and veggies from the garden. The recipe used flat beer as the liquid, had the pans with the holes and the high heat in the gas oven. My step daughter still raves about my pies 10 years later. Haven't made a pie in a few years, the gardens are gone, our 2 pups own our backyard now , but I'm down to 185 from 245 a year ago.
  19. My wife thought the world was ending , Facebook was down for an hour here
  20. Some that Euro Match Fishing targets some small stuff and that seems to be hugely popular with some.
  21. Check out the Rec Canal in the vicinity of Ramey's Bend and Dain City if around Welland.
  22. Appearing originally right after a grouse hunting thread I thought GSP was the commonly used initials for the German Shorthair Pointer on hunting sites,
  23. Sadly probably true , https://www.thestar.com/news/queenspark/2017/11/01/texting-while-walking-why-zombies-need-nannies-cohn.html Guess you don't think Darwin jokes are funny either.
  24. hope the phones were OK
  25. I only fix I ever used was installing an old school metal ferrule at the break, but that was b4 a lot of you were born, can you even get them anymore ? Probably the bamboo flyrod builders would still need them.
