  1. Nice fish... Funny wording saying its one of the biggest caught in Canada tho... Fish like that get caught in my area fairly regularly... Definitely an accomplishment at 16 tho...
  2. The one their biting that day
  3. Smaller grubs I've had that happpen with 4" grubs... Downsized to 3" and bingo!
  4. Since this is the second reel I'm guessing there's a common denominator here... Do you leave your rods in the boats rod locker...? Mine had lots of moisture as they aren't sealed and was causing issues with my reels....
  5. Who needs people like that...? Put his junk at the road and good riddens... Sad to see how he took advantage of the situation then ended your relationship/arrangement with a hissy fit... I'm guessing it's this persons poor judgement and short fuze that had him needing your help in the first place
  6. G. U. L. P. Good on harnesses and jigs...
  7. I almost always have a piece of rubber corn on to visually top off my baits... I've had success with yellow pink and white
  8. So the doubler inside is to reinforce the stressed area right...? So drill and weld the crack... Add a doubler inside for support... I'm taking my boat to a buddy that welds aluminium for a living... See what he thinks
  9. Those pics show where it is... Th second pic shows the 1/2" that is exposed
  10. Nice catch Haven't been out for carp in a few weeks... Your giving me the itch...
  11. I'll post more pics later of the location I don't even think it's the rivet that cause the crack... I just think the revet was the week point were the hull flexes too much The location is right where my deck ends.... The crack is a little visible inside the boat then it goes a few inches under my deck about 1-2" under the plywood... So when the hull flexes in waves this is the most "rigid" part of the internal structure... And right beside it is 2-3 feet of unsupported aluminium...
  12. This is what I found for Lund warranty.... So that's no help to me... I don't even know who the original owner was
  13. And I know a very good aluminium welder.... He builds aluminium framed docks and boat lifts
  14. I think I'm just hard on my boat art... It's 17 years old I beat the snot out of it in the chop... So I may need to take it easy when I'm driving in chop... The boat flexes a lot and I think the deck has created a point on both sides... So the boat flexes around that point and caused the crack...
  15. Bad news... Found a crack in my hull It's a 1998 Lund explorer 1600 Anyone ever have this happen? How did you fix it? Can a good aluminium welder just run a bead down the crack? I don't even know where to start with this one It's way above the waterline... The rivet in the pick is for structural support on my deck... Inside the boat the crack is concealed by aluminium deck material... Please help Thanks Mike
  16. It's a 2012 Yamaha 4 stroke And I'd be running the outboard at least 3-4 hours a day which I would think would give me a significant charge...
  17. Hey all I think I'm right in my thinking here... I don't use my electric bow mount many days of the year so I only run 1 deep cycle battery to reduce weight... Problem is when I need my trolling motor i have to baby it to make it last all day... Definitely won't last long if it's windy.., I want to run my wires off my outboard through one of these http://www.cabelas.com/product/Blue-Sea-Systems-Dual-Battery-Switch/1570403.uts?Ntk=AllProducts&searchPath=%2Fcatalog%2Fsearch.cmd%3FrecordsPerPage%3D18%26No%3D0%26N%3D0%26nl%3Dtrue%26Ntk%3DAllProducts%26Ntt%3DBattery%2Bselector%26search%3DSearch&No=0&Ntt=Battery+selector My thinking is I could start my outboard then switch to my deep cycle while I troll to charge up a bit... Or in a pickle let my outboard idle while I use my electric... It's easy to pack extra gas... Question is will the interruption in power when turning the switch shut down my outboard? Has anyone done this sort if set up? I'm sure this has been brought up before but I'm asking again.... Thanks
  18. I would just re seal your drain fittings with silicone or whatever works good for you... Not a big job at all... Maybe install some check valves on you "out" hoses to prevent water from getting in when the drain line ends up underwater... My live well on my boat fills from the drain when there's weight in the boat... Even more when I go in reverse...
  19. Video of recovery efforts http://m.cornwallseawaynews.com/News/2015-06-22/article-4190898/VIDEO:-Two-tugboats-capsize-on-river,-crews-safe-despite-an-injury/1
  20. Unreal... Absolutely unreal... And a ship ran ground 20 miles east yesterday... Whe seaway is on crack this week
