Does it work some times? Put your hand on transducer , should feel it ticking. It might be a 50 for deep water most of these unit you can switch between 50 and 200. If you want the absolute longest run time run 1 then switch to the other. Be aware that running battery's dead is very hard on them. If 1 of your battery's is a 1000 crank and the other is 850 they will equalize to the lower #. If one of your battery's has a dead cell both will be dead quickly. When you hook battery's in parallel say 1000 crank you do not get 2000 you get about 2/3's so about 1500. Garnet
