  1. Glad you made it home safely nancy, i know only too well how that is. But for future reference, try not to grip the wheel too tightly, not good for the hands, and not good for being able to steer quickly....your hands will be stiff. Maureen
  2. the day off? With pay??? I know, I don't ask for much Maureen
  3. Steve, i'm sorry you lost a friend, and I feel for his family. Thank you for taking the time to search for him, and more importantly clearing up and misinformation Maureen
  4. As everyone has said, great report! It's good to see you were able to to get out as much as you did, and 20 spiecies in one year is a pretty amazing feat! Congrats! Have a safe trip back, and be sure to let us know when you're settled in. Maureen

  8. Hey all, while at work today I had to pick up a customer at a sports store on Dufferin. I was not given a name, just an address and was not impressed with the location as I was going there from TGH on Gerrard Made my way there and saw my customer, looked up at the sign for the store...oh, it's Al Flaherty's....cool...I know someone in there. My customer was outside waiting for me, and since I was familiar with him I asked if he'd mind if I popped in for a sec...no problem I go into the store and for the life of me can't remember Dmasse's real name . Told the guy at the counter I was on the OFC board and he new who I was looking for . Dave was good enough to get off the phone and come out and talk to me for a minute. It's too bad I wasn't able to stay longer and talk more and take a good look around, I don't get out to that area often Now that I know exactly where it is I'll be sure to return when I have time to take a good look, some nice stuff from what I saw Good to see ya again Dave Maureen
  9. Thanks for the suggestions, I've pretty much ruled out dog doors for the time being as I would have to replace the doors I have now. They are both steel with half of them windows and one is oversized. I guess for this year I'll get a new electric heater, I don't like the one they left behind, no thermostat and the garage does have 220V. One dog is capable of opening the doors, he just doesn't close them behind him Maybe next year I'll look into adding something. Maureen
  10. Good morning all, well it's getting to be that chilly time of the year, and I'm looking to heat my garage. I leave it open for the dogs so they have full access from the house to the yard while I'm at work, that means the house is a little chilly when I get home . Last year I put up old comforters over the doors to try to stave off some of the cold air, this year I'm thinking I might just heat the thing...a little anyway. I'd prefer to stay away from electric heat, was thinking propane or something along those lines. The trick is finding one I can leave on while I'm not here. Any thoughts? Maybe one of the ones used by icefishers???? Thanks for your help Maureen
  11. Well, you'll get to see all the new models up close and personal Enjoy it Maureen
  12. Huh, I had no problems getting to work today...everyone drove at a decent speed, although followed too closely. I thought it was worse last week or whenever Lew went fishing with Wayne. I also had no problems at work, other than the 401 was a little slow...no big deal. I did find it slippery walking my customers to and from the bus at times though, but by 7:30-8:00 all was ok for the most part. Some co-workers were not so lucky, but they had more problems with their buses than the weather Maureen
  13. Flurries are just starting here now, already a few accidents....gonna be a long day at work today I much prefer this happening on my days off Be safe all Maureen
